I'm not military, but I'm close to your age and also trying to lose 30 lbs., so feel free to add me.

I add fresh lemon or lime juice to mine, and got a soda siphon so I can make seltzer at home whenever I want. Definitely worth it!

Well, I tried being serious about this once and didn't succeed, so maybe the key is to have some fun with it.

I like both, so: women with strong, angular facial features; muscular men with glasses.

I take full-time classes and have multiple part-time jobs. If I had time to make my own, I'd already be doing it.

Stir-fry with 3 oz. frozen broccoli, 3 oz. frozen carrots, 3 oz. Beyond Chicken meat substitute, 1 T hoisin sauce, 1 T vinegar. Cheap and healthy eating in college.

I don't get that sort of craving, but if I do want something sweet, I usually have a square of dark chocolate - the ones that come individually wrapped make it easier for me to portion control - or a cup of fruit tea with a little bit of honey. It comes to 30-50 calories either way.

That's awesome! I have a similar one - yesterday my friends ordered pizza for our game night, and I only ate one slice more than I was planning to. Sounds like a failure, but the fact that it was just one slice and I still ended up at a calorie deficit for the day is amazing for me!

Recommend against it. You'll lose more water through sweat, which can be dangerous when your blood volume is already lowered. Rest or do some light stretching or a walk, drink extra water, and eat a little more than you normally would. One day isn't going to kill you, and you need time to recover. The only time I've ever…

I just use a teaspoon each of olive oil and something acidic, usually red wine vinegar or lime juice, per portion. If I'm going to eat salad, it's because I want to taste vegetables, not dressing.

It's just a gimmick, but if you like the taste, go ahead - just remember to log calories from the sweetener. A traditional recipe would be switchel, which includes cider vinegar, molasses, and powdered ginger and was traditionally drunk by sailors or farm laborers after working on a hot day.

I actually went to the gym and worked out for the first time in way longer than I like to admit. Walking out into the cold with my blood pumping afterwards felt amazing, and now I can't wait for my next trip on Thursday!

Could definitely use more friends!

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! My university cafeteria - where I eat far, far too often - usually has plain grilled chicken available, so I'll start with that and see how it goes. :) I feel like the problems I had before might have been because I was eating meat with a lot of salt and fat added, since I was worried I…
