I used to work 3rd shift and would always turn off my alarm clock and be hours late for work. I started locking my alarm clock in a small box with a combination lock. By the time I opened the box, I'd be awake enough to get my butt moving!

With a bun, 8oz of 80-85% lean beef, cheese and bacon, you're looking at 850+

Unless otherwise noted, the weight on the bag will be raw.

You ate 38% of the total calories. That means you ate 38% of 411 raw grams or 157 raw grams. Find the "sweet potato, raw" entry, choose the 100g portion and enter your servings as 1.57

When you first begin lifting, you may see a slight shift based on water weight. Once your body is used to lifting regularly, your system will stabilize.

We really like our FlavorWave because the cooking track and glass tray at the bottom are both dishwasher safe. Very easy to clean! We've had one for years and actually try to keep a backup. We've probably gone through 4 units in 10 years and keep going back to Ebay for replacements at about $75.

We've used a FlavorWave, a sister product to the NuWave, for years. It's awesome for cooking chicken breasts or fish filets from frozen. It does a good job on whole chickens, but we don't cook them too often. It does really well for snack-type food that you'd typically cook in the oven as well.

Awesome accomplishment! Congratulations! And you rocked it to boot!

I've been through the self sabotage struggle many times. I've come to believe that it's roots come from a true fear of success. We know how hard we've worked to get where we're at, and self sabotage is a defense mechanism sometimes used to acknowledge how hard we'll have to continue to work to maintain the successes we've…

I've lost a bunch of weight and still have a bit to go. A total stranger and I got into a bit of an argument a few weeks ago, and his most brilliant response was, "shut up, fat *kitten*." I could have said a lot of things in response, but what I felt was most appropriate, "I may be overweight, but I can continue to lose…

Keep Calm everyone. It's 18 weeks until Christmas. LOL

1.55 pounds/week between now and Christmas Eve makes 100.1 for the year for me! It's Gonna Happen!

I was lazy. Pure and simple. It was easier to sleep in and not exercise. It was easier for my wife to stop and pick up take-out, fast food, pizza, etc. than it was to plan and prepare meals. Lazy.

I bought a hot dog at a baseball game Saturday night. I had two bites and realized it wasn't very good and pitched it. Hated tossing 2/3 of a $3 hot dog, but darn it, I'm not going to eat something unless I'm enjoying it!

It takes a lot of dedication to make it 98 days. The fact that you're still working out goes a long way in keeping you on track. Other than pizza and cake, has anything else changed? You mention you're tired of the variety of what you're eating. What kinds of foods do you like? There have to be some things that you could…

Wow, I don't feel worthy, but here's a work in progress update:

I've given up every time in the past with varying degrees of success each time. Every time, I'd found it was easier to be lazy, not prepare meals and sleep instead of working out. At 42 years of age, 315-330 pounds, diabetic with high blood pressure, I was on my way to an early death. I don't know why it's clicked so well…

Packaging typically indicates raw weight unless otherwise noted. You can also search the food database for "raw" or "cooked" versions of many, many foods. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, for instance net about 5oz cooked from an 8oz frozen state. Fresh would be a tad less than the frozen.

To help combat all of the biscuit offerings, office cake and countless candy dishes, I set my work password to "ZeroExtraCalories". Keeping this idea in my head several times each day definitely helps to keep my head in the right place and avoid these all too common temptations!

Nice work, man. Keep it up! I'm 30-40 pounds from where I'll likely settle in for maintenance. Please feel free to add me if you'd like.

Enjoy it. Log it. Move on.

My wife calls CICO the "Eat Like a Person, Not Like a Horse" plan. Portion control. Calorie control.

50 pounds by Christmas is a pretty aggressive target for anyone (2.5/week). Wow, I can't believe it's 20 weeks until Christmas! I'm down 70 pounds YTD and remain focused on 100 by Christmas, so please feel free to add me if you like. I'm pretty serious about this journey but like to have some fun as well. Best of luck with…

I've been very happy with this rack. It's a little narrow inside the cage, but I wanted top and bottom pulleys, and it fits the bill nicely. I added a set of dip bars available on Amazon. http://www.sears.com/valor-athletics-bd-7-power-rack/p-SPM11734412915
