Doing 16:8 5 days a week.

Started back on keto about 30 days ago. I got the Keto-Mojo meter to check my glucose and ketones. Seems to work well. I check late in the morning (not everyday) to see what my fasting numbers are. I have a keto shake that I did the test on after I consumed it to make sure it didn't spike my glucose and that I stayed in…

Way to go! Keep at it.

Wow, congratulations!

I think it is if you log in every day. Nice not having ads and some features are nice to have. The ones I like: Different goals by day (I go lower on the week days and higher on Saturday) Export function set macros by grams.

If you are just needing to add extra plant based protein then take a look at the Vega Protein line. I still eat meat but use this instead of whey to get my extra protein as I wanted to reduce dairy in my diet. From their website: 1. Certified vegan 2. Gluten-free 3. Non-GMO 4. Made without dairy or soy ingredients,…

I am a big believer in pre-logging your day. If you are not using MFP to log your meals you should give it a try. Use it to calculate you daily calorie requirements. Then take a few minutes each evening and think about your next day, where you classes are, when and where you will be studying etc. Then plan your meals out…

"What do you mean he don't eat no meat? Oh, that's okay. I make lamb." Sorry, I saw this and the aunt from My Big Fat Greek Wedding just popped into my head. I go out to dinner with customers and I was afraid of sticking out too. However it seems that everyone's tastes are so varied that it isn't so bad. Hopefully…

I don't drink much, no other reason than I just never acquired the taste for it so can't help you there. If you are logging your food daily you might try logging the whole weekend on Friday. Plan your meals, snacks and adult beverages and if you have it all planned out it might be easier to stay on track. You could even…

Yep, not much prize money but I think they get most of their money through sponsors. Got to win the big events to draw the attention. Didn't realize the Jay was so rich though. http://www.therichest.com/sports/other-sports/the-top-5-richest-modern-body-builders/

I use to be, even went a couple of years back. It was fun going to the expo. Amazon is streaming it for free if anyone is interested: https://www.amazon.com/gp/adlp/mrolympia? Cheers!

Probably best thing to happen to you. Their way of losing weight is the absolute worst way. Most all of them gain it back. Slow and steady, this is a marathon and not a sprint. Toss me a friend request! Cheers!

I am in Vancouver this week, does that count? Love it up here. Texas based Canadian?

Hey checking in from DFW.

On the road myself but managed to go over a bit today. I just didn't make the right choice at dinner but hey moving on. I bring a blender bottle with me and do a shake in the mornings so I don't go down to the high calorie free buffet. I pack some snacks in little plastic baggies. Each snack is one serving and i try to…

Could always use a more friends for our mutual support society.
-
Agreed, started making a few friends here. It is nice to support each other, I know it is starting to help me.
-
Didn't mean to be. What are kik handles?
-
Ha, I like that. Guess I could wear my Fitbit on my finger.
-
Maybe typing on a keyboard burns a lot of calories? Naw, if that were the case I would already be at goal weight!
-
Congratulations and be confident, you earned it!
-
So true, true change starts on the inside!
-
Hey, old man here looking for more MFP friends too. Particularly those who like to lift. Feel free to toss a request my way. Cheers!
-
Didn't know they were sold, I may want to stock up. Thanks for the info.

Evenings are the worst for me as well in eating, been that way all my life. One thing that helps me is logging the food through out the day with MFP. Then in the evening if I am near my calorie limit for the day it helps to give me a little extra resolve not to snack. However, I do leave about a 100-150 calories and I do…

Good for you! It is best to try and make the lifestyle changes than just go on medicine, ( if that is an option). Trying to keep my A1C down so right there with you.

If you want plant based check out the Vega line, no dairy or soy in them. I mix the berry flavor with blueberries as part of my breakfast.

My wife use to have pain her hands, use to bother her daily. Even bought a hot wax bath to put her hands to try and get some relief. She had her lap band removed and had to go on a liquid diet before and after and her pain went away! Traced it down to gluten, couple of slices of regular pizza and her hands hurt the next…
