North America--the Mojave, the Redwoods/Pacific NW Coast, and the Appalachians are some of the most beautiful spots on the planet! (and cheaper typically to visit) Do you think silver or gold jewelry looks better?

You must motivate yourself! Try looking into talking to a nutritionist to really evaluate your relationship with food, that's what helped for me. I knew I loved cupcakes and just "couldn't" give them up. Really talking about it with someone who cared made all the difference. And they weren't a skinny friend or a judgy…

This. Soy is horrible in so many ways...for everyone. (Unless it is fermented soy which is a different thing altogether.) There may be several reasons why people choose soy; vegan/vegeterianism, allergies to whey/milk, etc...but if you're looking into it as a protein source look somewhere else.

I like several others have used it as a jump start to weight loss. Obligatory eyeroll at the IT'LL KILL YOU IT'S A DRUG....obviously it's a drug. Come on people. A car can kill you faster than anything and they're everywhere. Anyway, being overweight does damage to your bones and organs and blood pressure and heart just…

This is very true! If your blood sugar and insulin levels are good to go, you can ignore that and watch calories more closely. HOWEVER. Sugar addiction is a very real, very limiting thing. I was an addict most of my life and only in the last few months have I broken myself of that addiction. Before, one cupcake would…

So true. I lived in Sweden where "LCHF" is a daily word and almost all Swedes follow this philosophy if they're interested in health; I guess we Americanize everything here and make it look like it's bacon and whiskey XD but anyway....I've had more success with mostly eliminating carbs than just about anything else. I am…

First off--hi and welcome. My first foray into bodyweight exercise was the 30 Day Shred. I LOVE Jillian. Anywho, you should know that exercise is at most 20% of weight loss. Have you ever talked to a therapist about an emotional addiction to food or a physical addiction (likely to sugar)? I had similar issues most of my…

Yes! Vitamin D! This is the time of year when the northern hemisphere just naturally gives us less daylight and since it's colder, we often stay inside more (sup new england you alive over there) A little sun each day makes a huge difference energy wise! You did say your bloodwork was great, but I'd get the vitamin d…

Yeah....detoxes won't help anything. And what is...a power food? Dairy is actually NOT so good for you--especially depending on your ethnic background. Most adults are lactose intolerant. But I don't think dairy makes people tired, it's more indicated with acne and skin problems/digestive problems/other not pleasant side…

This is why I refuse to buy a scale. I'll weigh myself once every two weeks maybe, at the gym, and otherwise I leave it alone. It's too easy to become obsessive about it. lol. Weight change isn't linear, as someone mentioned.
