I'm 53....about 5'2" 1/2. Due to physical limitations I can't do anything high impact, but I do love walk at home videos and some other home workouts. Have a Fitbit and try to get in over 10,000 steps a day. Started my journey last summer at almost 190 and now I'm around 141-143. Would love to get down to about 125, if I…

Good morning everyone! Sorry I have been MIA lately. Sometimes life just moves so fast it's hard to keep up. So here's a bit of an update: My son is finally starting to do better. He is bipolar and his wife left him and took their son. His life was in such turmoil, but he managed to do the right things and it seems to be…

I agree with @Makingachangeforlife Pool exercise is best, warm water is definitely better. Upper body exercises can even be done sitting down and there are some exercises you can do that won't put any strain on your knees. Look for some ideas on YouTube and then go slowly. I have pretty bad arthritis in my knees, hips,…

Nice to meet you, Melissa. Thanks for your honesty. Life does get pretty interesting as far as weight loss for women after 40. Daily logging definitely helps a lot as well as having some friends or a group on here that help you be accountable. And making this journey a new way of life and not a diet really helps. Just make…

My this group has become quiet! How the heck is everyone doing? My life has become even more stressful than before. Lots of family drama going on right now. It's hard learning to parent our children as adults. And having to watch them go through hell and know you can't fix it for them. It was tough enough watching them…

@katnip40 lady are you crazy...a cruise with 3 kiddos  I can barely keep it together some days with them all at the house! Eating is difficult enough when I'm in a controlled situation, put me in front of a smorgasbord of yummies and I probably would have put in at least 10 pounds. I'm finally starting to get back…

Have a wonderful day!

I'm in Virginia....about an hour south of Washington DC

My go to food is oatmeal with chia seeds, blueberries and cinnamon...I eat that for any meal. It's really nice at the end of a long day watching the kiddos. I also love an apple with some peanut butter. My biggest issue lately has been stress and lack of sleep..makes me want to grab something quick and I always reach for…

Way to go! I'm proud of you too! You are an encouragement to others. Keep up the good work  As far as logging your calorie burn on MFP, maybe look up a calorie counter online and see if any of the exercises are listed, then go on MFP and find an exercise with about the same calorie burn. I usually don't log…
