Which is why I usually don't eat those. Especially not dates unless it's in the occasional desert. Bananas sometimes but not too often. Generally I stick to raspberries, or the like.

This has got to be the dumbest thing I've seen all day. I'm not saying the sugar is different. I'm saying that when you think of what you get from a piece of fruit vs a snickers bar, the sugar in the fruit is probably a better choice nutritionally speaking. Honestly I have no idea. I don't have the money to go to a doctor but I know I feel better when i stay away from sugar for the most part. I don't even really eat a lot of fruit.

If you eat 12g of sugar from an apple it metabolizes slower and doesn't cause as much of a sugar spike, which effects me a lot. If I eat a donut I feel terrible. I get shaky, achy, and then very tired. If I eat an apple I still feel normal. It's not backpedaling. I said from the beginning, I prefer sugar from whole foods.

Okay I'll play your game. I eat fruit because the sugars in it combined with the fiber and nutrients are delicious and nutritious. I was asked for my opinion and my opinion is that if I'm going to eat sugar I should try to make most of it come from whole food sources. Not added, powdered, juiced, etc. I don't get why…

Sugars that are not from fruits and veggies and dairy - unnecessary and hold zero nutrition. Just extra calories. Bad for teeth. Okay every once in a great while but personally, I don't eat them every day.

Garlic black bean sauce is the bees knees but its also high sodium, ginger, garlic, cilantro, chili oil, sriracha, anything spicy really!, fry it up in coconut oil, olive oil, or maybe avocado oil. You can use veggies for flavors too though. Brussels, okra, cabbage, or fresh herbs can add loads of flavor.

No it doesn't mean you don't have an issue. But it does mean that on threads where you express food reactions you'll receive people telling you it's in your head. Then when people try to tell the OP that they should think about the fact that could have an insulin issue they get written off by other posters.

Actually for someone to go without sugar for a long period of time and then eat a large amount of something extremely sugar dense can mess with your stomach. Why's that hard for you to grasp?

I think it's ridiculous to assume our bodies are all the same. Period. Just because one person can eat a piece of cake and feel fine doesn't mean everyone can. So maybe its not in their heads. As an ex overeater and a person with aspergers, neither of these wouldve helped me. Social interaction wouldve driven me to not eat at all because of anxiety but as soon as I got home, binging would commence. And you can't tell an overeater to just eat half their plate. They'd be back in that kitchen so fast to eat away…

I think you should ask your doctor. Diabetes isn't something to play around with from what I understand.
