@KnitOrMiss sure! I use this one below from Reddit, but replaced the cocoa powder with almond flour for this dessert. Otherwise I used the recipe exactly as it is. I personally like it a lot! https://m.reddit.com/r/ketorecipes/comments/1aptue/flourless_chocolate_mug_cake/?utm_source=mweb_redirect&compact=true

One of my favorite meals lately and desserts (mug cake topped with cream cheese sweetened with a little stevia and topped with a few slices of strawberry). I only have this every once in a while but the burger I could literally eat every day!

Before I turned to keto I sometimes ate leftover steak or chicken for breakfast and you could practically see the question marks hovering over people's heads. Lol. And I'd think "how is this worse than donuts or muffins??"

Yes, ditto to all the above. I was hospitalized early this year for a kidney infection and sepsis and came home 10 lbs heavier, even though I probably ate 1000 calories the 4 days I was at the hospital. I'd say it took a good 3 weeks for all that fluid to go away. I did go back to a flexible diet when I got home and jumped…

I've never checked either, but this is what I've read,as well, as a more reliable indicator of ketosis (checking blood ketones).

I was vegan for about 6 months before I found out I had become extremely anemic (despite the iron-rich veggies I was eating) so I went back to eating meat and it fixed me quick!! Lol. Anyway, I personally found it hard eating vegan because it seemed like most things had butter, or cheese, or cream, or bacon! I was kinda…

I no longer worry about low cal or low fat for veggie sauces/seasoning as I'm now keto. But when I was flexible dieting I used any of the Mrs. Dash seasonings, butter seasoning, fat free ranch or Italian. But I usually like veggies plain these days.

1) To lose the last bit of pregnancy weight. And to have energy. I was doing flexible dieting for several months and it was just too frustrating and I was constantly hungry. With LCHF it's so easy to manage cravings and hunger and even though the weight loss is slow (for me!) I'm at least not gaining. I'm able to have…

Wonderful!! Great post to share!!

Last night. I went hog wild. Back on the wagon today. :)

I feel like I could've written this post! Lol. Same thing...I've realized that sleep is more important. On Monday morning I had only had 5 hrs sleep but motivated myself to get out of bed to do some circuit training at 5am. Bad move. I literally could not keep my eyes open at work and ended up falling asleep at 6 pm and…

Awesome!!! You're an inspiration!

Not so much that I didn't like them, but I rarely ever had a desire to eat eggs or butter before keto. I actually looove butter now!

Yep Texas humidity this past weekend has been disgusting. Bleh.

I usually take a piece of cheese and put lunch meat, mayo, pickles and roll it all up when I have to have something on the go.

Lol! They only had ONE job! Hahaha

Yes my cycle went out of whack when I first started keto. Then regulated itself after a couple of months and at the time I was averaging 20 net carbs. I went off keto after being in the hospital. But went back on it recently. These days I'm higher on carbs (around 30 or so) but thankfully I haven't had issues with my…

Ahhh I missed that part. Mine aren't gel caps either.

Mine was a D- because it has "concerning levels of arsenic"???? What the...????

I just love all the vibrant colors of this meal.

I meal prepped on Sunday and scrambled the egg on the day before I ate it. And I ate it cold since I was too lazy to heat it up. Still tasted great!

Chicken and broccoli slaw stir fry with 1 scrambled egg. My lunch for the week.

I recently went back on keto and found it hasn't been as hard as I thought it was going to be. I feel like my body prefers this way of eating. I Just have to stay on top of my water and electrolytes.

I was hospitalized a couple of months ago due to kidney infection and sepsis. I wasn't sure if I could attribute it to keto but I was and have been extremely reluctant to this WOE again. However after a lot of thought I decided I'm willing to try it again after a few tweaks. I hope you're doing better. I realized that this…

Like another poster said, you just have to do it, and you have to WANT to do it. Unfortunately there's no secret formula. Lol. It was hard the first couple of weeks. I only set one alarm. It helps that I set out my workout clothes, and had my water, phone, etc. ready. I work out at home but I get ready like I'm going to…

I use turbofire for my cardio days. I like P90x too when I want to take a break from my normal lifting schedule. But it does take longer to do than my normal workouts.

Great work! You look wonderful!

I'm not excluding it but I rarely have it. I found I enjoy almond milk more and it makes me less gassy and bloated.
-
I tried it for about 6 months and I enjoyed the food I ate. However, I had a physical exam and found out I was pretty anemic and I was always super tired...even taking supplements. I went back to eating meat and my anemia resolved itself and wasn't tired anymore. It was a difficult lifestyle to maintain because my family…

I agree. I really enjoy this group. I check the discussions daily so I can continue to build on my knowledge and experience with Keto. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful.
