While your situation sounds horrible, you must still take charge of your own health. The only people I would listen to are your doctors. If they are concerned about your weight, I would suggest addressing it at once. The great thing is that bullies can only control our lives if we allow them to do so. The best revenge…

Feel free to add me. I too for many years would lose weight only to gain it back. However, after nearly losing my life to hemorrhagic stroke at the ripe old age of 45, i'm taking my health serious for the first time in my life.

You can simply count calories but I would not recommend that. The quality of the food is important as well. One could be on a calorie deficit eating nothing but ice cream. If your goal is better health and not just temporary weight loss, please consider a healthy diet. Lean proteins, low glycemic carbs and healthy fats in…

My background is in metrology so I do have a firm understanding on how to properly measure stuff. I'm currently using a calibrated digital scale with resolution to the 10th of a gram. All of my exercise is measured Buy my Garmin chest strap heart rate monitor. I don't enter any exercises manually.

You bring up good points. I just returned to work after a seven month leave of absence while recovering from a massive hemorrhagic stroke. I am a project cordinator for a high-tech company and the position does carry a lot of stress. If I mess up it can easily cause my company not to hit revenue targets. I am measuring…

The only chest strap heart rate monitor that I have experience with is from Garmin. I've not had any issues with it

I used to use Fitbit but switch to Garmin because the chest strap is more accurate. However, I had no problems syncing either one with MFP.

Feel free to add me. I've lost about 25 and have about 35 to go. I lost to 25 fairly quickly but seem to have hit a wall even though I have a calorie deficit and have been working out at least four times a week all while recovering from a massive stroke. I'm also looking for motivated people to help me stay on track.

You're killing it. Keep up the great work.

For your diet, It's really as simple as eating healthy foods while watching your Calorie intake making sure you have a deficit. If your brand-new to exercising and have no idea where to start, you may want to consider a personal trainer just to teach her how to get started

Feel free to add me. I'm recovering from a massive hemorrhagic stroke and experience pain every time I work out. However, this pain will not stop me from working towards a full recovery.

Welcome. Hang around for a while and see if it doesn't really help with staying motivated.
