Hello ladies, how many calories do you allow yourselves per day. I tried restricting to 1200, not always doable.

Mk2fit -- thank you, it's all about discipline isn't it. Well done on your weight loss - you have shown me, don't make age an excuse
-
Hello Ladies, do any of you have huge stomachs (pouches that hang down/aprons) I am experiencing lower back pain and know my stomach probably contributes to the pain. I am 64yrs old - has anyone been successful in trimming these tummies at our age

My aim is to not put on weight (try) I agree with Griffina - I would land up eating as much as I can as fast as I can. Oh my word - what we do to ourselves
-
1Nana2many - so similar to my story. As a matter of interest, how many calories do you allow yourself a day. I aim for 1500 or less. 5ft 3in

Thank you all for your kind words of support. The trick is to log ever mouthful

Did me good to read the success stories. Looked at myself in the mirror last night -- what a shock. My stomach a sack of fat. How unhealthy. Today is a new day. If other people can do it so can I and I will. I am 63 years old.

Thank you for your sensible logical replies. I also thought about adjusting my calory intake with weight loss. I must perhaps cut down a bit. Would you know, if say we eat 1000 calories, should we aim for more protein in our diet.

Sugardarlin - your grandchild is so very cute - congratulations

I am always interrested how many calories people aim for. Mine is 1200 - 1400. I wonder if this is too low. Was over this evening as needed "bulk" . Had a peanut butter sandwich after supper. I think we have to listen to our bodies. So long as we don't totally derail

I am doing it, so proud of myself. MFP graph still heading in the right direction. Happy day everyone
-
Mikilou - share your sentiments. I have lost 3kgs so far, promised myself I will never be this heavy again. My next step is sugar, going to have to go cold turkey. Started April this year

I live in Malawi (AFrica) very special place

Thank you for replies. That's why this group is so beneficial - we get side tracked, common sense is lost.

Sore feet. I wonder how many have the same problem. I have been told to massage my feet often which I now do. I just wonder if this complaint will follow me to the grave
-
Thank you for your replies. I agree, we must keep healthy and strong

Should read 1kg, not 15kg - I wish

Oops!! Went away for 4 days - came back 2kg heavier. A lesson learnt. We don't have to eat every biscuit and sweet in sight. Get a bit annoyed at myself as at 63 I'd like to think I was sensible and able to say enough. MFP helps to get back on track. At least we understand and can share similar shortcomings. Have lost 15g…
