That goth girl from Parks & Rec for Ally Sheedy's role...

These comments are crackin me up! DH hates when I wear my hair up, but between my weight, my perimenopausal station in life, and really thick, curly hair, it's rarely down. Added to that, I chemically straightened my hair a year or more ago, so I'm going through the painful process of growing it out. Half curly at the…

Going up and down the stairs repeatedly.

I can pop my hips out of joint and also wiggle my eyebrows independently of each other. Now that's talent!

I was successful with WW when I followed the plan. However, I think it's ridiculous how much they charge, and they change the plan every year, so you have to buy all the new information and gadgets if you want to keep up. MFP requires a little more work and self-accountability, but it's a great tracking device, and the…

Catch up on laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc. In the summer, I like to spend a little time hanging out on our deck and taking a dip in the pool.

Last-minute invite on Saturday to swim with old high school friends. Great to see everyone and catch up. Going to see Mamma Mia II with my three sisters tonight. Can't wait!

My daughter had a similar problem with her sports bras, so I adjusted them so they were in the right spot, then sewed them into place by tacking them down. The inserts were triangular shaped, so I just sewed down each of the three "corners".

Unless you cut ties with your past, you won't be able to enjoy the present and invest fully in your current relationship. You owe it to yourself and your new man to give the best of yourself. Forgiving your ex and letting go of the past is necessary to move forward. This may sound weird, but this worked for me regarding…

DH planned a surprise weekend trip to Chicago with eight of our friends for my 30th. Went to Taste of Chicago, a Reds/Cubs game at Wrigley (we're from Cincinnati - local rivalry), and barhopped around the Rush and Division Street. Had soooo much fun!

Oh man! The hubs used to LOVE Headbangers' Ball!
-
Yes - it was from that group. :) Sorry, should've identified myself. Hope that, other than the sleep issues, things are going well with you.

@Bex: Hey girl! Long time no see! Wow, I feel for you - three little ones to care for and one of them having sleep issues. :( I remember my (now 17-year-old) daughter going through something similar and how frustrating it was. Wish I had some advice, but I don't except "This too shall pass". Hang in there, Bex!

DH found a cheap Garmin watch with sleep tracker for me. Possibly through Amazon?

Cooked spinach - just the smell makes me wanna hurl. I'm fine with uncooked baby spinach in a salad or smoothie, though.

Oh yeah...you blend!

I can rock this look on a humid day...

Gnarly chin hairs that aren't there one day and are three inches long the next.

Nice wedge! Love your silky pajamas, too!

My college Calculus professor began his first class by saying "Half of you will drop this class, and half of those left will fail it." Motivate much, @$$hat?

Exactly! It may be a little hot, but the weather has been sunny and beautiful. As those wise men of Monty Python say, "Always look on the bright side of life!"

You don't like the weird smell coming from the kitchen sink? Try doing the dishes once in awhile!
