Yeah I just came back in to pout that there's still no search. That is the only thing I miss about the group being public. At least you could google only the group's discussions.

If you (or anyone watching) want lower carb prenatals, these are pretty awesome: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004C55VOE (I am giving all this advice as a child-free-by-choice person. I use the prenatals for the Biotin! o:) )

I would always prefer to be way off on calories and nail my carbs. :)

I wish the "Recent / My / etc" discussion links at the top of the group actually kept you IN the group... that threw me for a minute, I almost went all Keto on a discussion about 0 cal snacks. :D

Yeah formatting is weird, and oversized images are now going crazy making discussions stretch. I noticed that I get a little notification when someone posts in a discussion I've been posting in. I do like that!

I never find that the inversion table helps my sciatic pain. I have SI related issues, so while our injury isn't the same, I find the same position-related pain as you. Have you tried squeezing your "second butt" muscles when you're in a position that hurts? These are the muscles on the southern hemisphere of your bottom,…

What's your specific back woe? (I mean actual woe there, not acronym woe!) I have lots of amazing back stretches that have done wonders for me. I'd love to send you the info.

Oh, and regarding your MFP weights.. the browser "Reports" page only displays up to 1 year, but the measurements are still in there. If you use the app, you can view the chart for "All Time," and back in the browser, if you visit Edit previous entries they're all still there.

Great work!! That ability to just walk past the junk is a super power!

Tito's Vodka with Grape Zevia if you must mix. I prefer to drink it straight but I get hammered so fast now, I think mixing is the way to go if I want to remember the evening. Coffee.. whiskey... why have I not tried this?

You might catch a lot of flack from your doctor, so you may just want to refer to your eating plan as "avoiding starches and sugars" which most people can agree with. Funny how semantics change the reception of information!!

I weigh daily, in the morning with an empty stomach and before I start filling it. I consider it 'data collection' not 'judgement time.' Because I don't change up what I'm doing very much, I know I can pretty much KCKO. On the other hand, my body reacts pretty quickly to what I change. I dropped Dairy last week and the…

It sounds odd, but we had a very spicy chicken dish that called for hard boiled eggs to be added just before plating. The flavor of the sauce on the chicken was amazing but VERY spicy. The eggs really balanced that spice out well, almost exactly the way rice buffers spicy food. And at 1 animal-based carb per egg, it's a…

Haven't taken photos in a while because meals have been eaten too quickly. Tonight will be steamed asparagus, Hollandaise, and then my mom and I are having grilled bacon-wrapped shrimp and my husband is having eggs Benedict. (Proof that, if you have picky eaters, you can adjust their meal pretty easily and still include…

Make sure you get enough sodium, too. My low carb family always bounces back, mood-wise, after a cup of broth!

I keep hoping my brother's family will come up for Thanksgiving, but I'd have to cook two of everything. Their youngest son looked at the pure maple syrup my father (his granddad) bought them and said, "But it doesn't have corn syrup in it."

Thought of two more last night: "A healthy person has 3-6 bowel movements a day." "Everybody farts." (Despite what you think, I thought of these while I was driving, not in the bathroom!)

Congratulations! It's tempting to think that you need to go back to the whole grain way during pregnancy, but the fact is, plenty of people stay low carb while they are pregnant (and even raise their kids low carb, or ZERO carb). Lots of experiences about that here: http://zerocarbzen.com/tag/pregnancy/

Just got the salt tabs I ordered for Mom yesterday. She tried one last night. She was still abed when I left so I don't know if she's feeling a difference. She did complain about the size of the tabs (she has trouble swallowing pills). Maybe I'll get her a salt lick instead.

Also, your dogs probably will eat these even if you wouldn't, so don't hang them within reach. ;)

I want to believe. In the meantime, I eat bacon.

This is the recipe I plan to make. I'll divide it in half and add bread for the SAD Sucker in the house: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sausage-and-herb-stuffing-recipe.html

If my planned fat for the day is going to come in low, I add butter or coconut oil to my coffee in the morning. Or if plans change, butter to my coffee at night (I can't do CO in the evenings, I end up wired).

LOL great question. Wish I could say it was gone! I hate wiping the counters around it.

Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Traded in some jackets at a consignment shop for a new pair of jeans (noticed the one holdout pair I've got left is about to wear through in spots). The new jeans are the same size but they are tailored to my body shape, which I am now delighted to display! My husband thought they looked fantastic, so now I know all jeans…
