My husband (who eats higher carb than me and eats less red meat) takes a chelated Magnesium glyconate, D3, B-complex, and Probiotics. I also want to get him on K2. I want to wean him off all the rest because I feel they're socially-acceptable snake oil. I don't take any supplement-form vitamins. I will use broth to add…

Here's to living backward!

I have avoided eating out for the most part, because of this. How I'd love to run a restaurant with healthy real food, but that's a business model destined for failure. :P

Fantastic! Hope it's not too many more decades before the rest of the doctors out there get on board with LCHF!

Carbohydrates are not an essential macronutrient, so you can go as low as you find works best for you and makes you feel the most amazing!

Define "wall."

I ate my dinner (xrare rib eye with kerrygold) very slowly last night, and ate probably less than a third of it. I had my 'Mexican coffee' last night and then another coffee with pure heavy cream and didn't even want (but did still drink) most of the second coffee. This morning I woke up and decided I don't even remember…

I sear the outside and the inside is generally still cool.

I always get so dismayed when non-health bloggers I follow post their cupcakes or other carbage. Takes me a minute to remember not all the blogs I follow are Keto!

You may find you need to adjust the carb limit as you learn more and adjust, but you've got a great start (and it sounds like you've got a great doctor!)
-
Once you get used to requesting no bun (which I've even seen come up as "low carb" on a receipt, so don't think they'll think you're a monster), you then graduate to requesting kerrygold butter in your Starbucks espresso!

Thanks! I definitely will be updating here because it's as close to a tracking fix as I can get! ;)

Dave Asprey is very concerned about the quality of the products because he has a severe mold allergy and there are few to no regulations about mold and other "unlisted" ingredients in a lot of these products. If you find that the store-found products are not improving your life in the way that you have been told to expect,…

He has said repeatedly he doesn't recommend this, but this is for the people who are going to walk away and do something drastic like severe calorie restriction if he doesn't give them a health(ier) option.

Isopure isn't the only 0g carb brand of whey protein powder, so shop around at your local nutrition supplement store. Don't settle for carbs in your protein mix, though!

Listened to my hunger signals last night, halfway through the bowl of Chili Dog soup I knew I wasn't hungry anymore, and then I finished the bowl. Then I tried the Good Dee's cookies after dinner. I didn't like them (they tasted great, cookie-wise, but I never cared for cooled choc chip cookies), but I still ate three. My…

Thank you for the reminder that I personally love Chuck Eye! No one else in my family will eat it, so I've been doling out the bill folds for rib eye lately. I could just buy myself a chunkahunkachuckeye and crouch over it like Gollum.

Why don't you let your kids go carnivore with you? Tell them, "You don't have to eat your veggies, if you don't want them. But you can't replace them with cookies!" Ha! Love this.

Well we won't be watching the Superbowl, and I don't really do finger foods, but if I had to entertain, this would be my menu: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2015/06/grilled-rainbow-peppers-with-herb-cream.html (with full fat cheese)…

I've gotten that Magnesium drink off Amazon in the past (when I took it for cramps. I haven't been taking supplements for the past few months.).

I just heard someone on a podcast this morning say that a family member who couldn't stomach eggs loves them scrambled with cream cheese

That reminds me! Mom has signed on for February as well. She says she didn't feel much in the way of relief to her symptoms from January, but I see an increase in activity from her. She doesn't believe me. She just complains that she's still losing weight she doesn't want to lose. She said she's willing to try just steak…

Ooh, great tip! I need to look into the grinder attachment. I need to look into getting portions of meat that would feed a FIT_Goat.

My goal for this month is NOT to track my intake or weight and see how I do "free range." February 23rd will be my 1 year lowcarberversary (no cheat days whatsoever, highest carb intake in a single day over the past year was 80g - stupid tortilla chips), so I know I won't go off the reservation in sight of such a momentous…

I haven't posted since last Tuesday so I'll sum it up! I got my step goals two or three times, but I always went outside to breathe. Didn't strictly write every day but I did have a coaching session with the editor I hired and am feeling awesome about my writing progress (and potential). Got my water in all but (I think)…

I've been trying to be carnivore but cooking for my family messed it up a bit. I've recommitted myself to it over the past two weeks, and in February I'm going to experiment with not tracking my food.
