3rd grade teacher, looking to lose about 30 more lbs! Feel free to add me!

Starting teaching soon and found out today that I get a gym membership and rec pass through my district and it was easily the best benefit in my eyes! I've always liked to work out but I was particularly excited about this!
-
Congrats! I've lost 70 lbs so far and am at about 200, trying to get down to your weight!

That hearing people make comments about other people being fat, or just about someone's weight in general, would make you feel self conscious, because you've always been overweight, and that they have no idea it might make you uncomfortable if they don't know you've lost weight. Not that people should make comments, but it…

Feeling like my muscles are getting bigger and stronger. Now to fine tune my diet again so that the fat doesn't look so out of place! Feeling committed to lose my last 30 lbs!
-
I think I've posted this before, but if you had a lot to lose to start, hitting road blocks/feeling done after you've lost a lot, even if you haven't hit your end goal. I've lost 70 lbs and recently have just been going up and down +/- 5 lbs. This is good because I'm not putting weight back on, but frustrating with about…

Ran 6 miles yesterday! Went out with my boyfriend for a run and we accidentally went too far, ended up with over 7 miles (including walking the last mile as a cool down). And we did it at about the same pace as we usually do our shorter runs!
-
Also 23, losing about another 30 lbs!

Thank you all for your insight! I am happy to report that as of this morning I was back down to 195 (within about 2 lbs of my lowest weight) after just a week and a half of consistently counting my calories and sticking (mostly) to my goals each day!
-
I just went through something similar and got back to logging (and under calories most days) consistently the last week or so. I find that when my diet is good, I want to exercise and vice versa. I try to surround myself with healthy foods so that I have options and keep my calories lower, and if I go out to eat, choosing…

I logged ALL my food yesterday, and I ate/drank way over my calories. I'd been having issues with this and just chalking it up to oh well I know I ate too much and not logging, but it made me feel much more accountable to log Everything. I was close to 1000 over, which I know is a lot, but seeing it and knowing that…

Good to know! I wondered if that might be part of the issue, it's trying to hold on to what it can!
-
Thanks for that! I've been on top of my food this week again and already down about 4 lbs, mostly from water weight and eating less sodium filled foods I'm sure but it makes me happy!
-
I don't remember the exact calories but it was around there according to MFP to lose 2 per week. I'm at around 1600-1700 right now and that seems like a good goal. I teach but am currently in classes so fairly sedentary right now. I exercise at least 3 times a week normally and up my calories by around 300 (sometimes more)…

On my way to 100! I'm at over 70 lbs loss so far, feel free to add me!
-
Thanks all! I've kind of been on a break the last few months (finishing school and all) so I think I just need to get my life back on a schedule so that I'm eating less often and exercising regularly. But it is hard when my calories to lose 2 lbs a week used to be like 1600 and now that would be around 1300, it makes it so…

Had been gaining the last week or two and finally saw the scale til back down today, which is a scale victory. But as for non-scale, I stayed under my calories yesterday, made a plan for the week, and wore a two piece to the lake yesterday in front of people!
-
I can relate! Sometimes my boyfriend cooks dinner, and even though I know he's cooking I don't always know what it will be til the end of the day, and by then it's too late! I usually just try to add in exercise the next day or eat a light lunch.
-
Had many opportunities to overeat today and skipped on every one of them! It seems like something most people I'm around don't have an issue with, but for me stopping after 2 slices of pizza or having a salad over fries is a big deal!
-
I'm not sure this is a victory but I've started to feel sick (stomachache/lethargic) after eating a lot at once, like I used too all the time, and it's a terrible feeling but it means I'm used to eating less and my body recognizes that I shouldn't eat that much, so a positive overall!
-
Wore some old shorts I hadn't got into for years today and they were even a bit loose!
-
That's awesome! Those are almost my exact stats, cept I'm at about 194 right now. Very inspiring!!!
-
I find myself actually squatting when bending down and having much more energy when going up stairs, it's the little things!
-
Ran 5.5 miles yesterday without stopping! And didn't immediately blow my calories for the day (like I have in the past after running a lot less...)
-
Went out with some friends last night and ate dinner beforehand and only had one drink, pretty unusual for me and required a lot of control but I'm feeling good this morning!
-
This is one of my biggest struggles.. Congrats!!!
-
I don't "cheat" I just have days where I eat/drink more than usual (on weekends or with friends usually) and I've noticed if I overdo it and eat really fatty foods, I feel awful, and once I got very sick (but that was a lot of alcohol too lol). My stomach can't handle all the calories/fat anymore!
-
A little hungover today but still got outside for a run and later for a walk and ate relatively healthy food!
-
Congrats! I started around the same weight and I slowed a bit at 50 lbs lost too but I'm now under 200!

A pair of jeans I used to use to gauge how much I'd lost (because they were way too tight in the beginning) are now to the point of falling off, they're so baggy!
