SW:271.4 GW: 168 Last week: 202.2 Today: 201.9 Getting so close!!
-
Start with whatever you like the most! Then try to mix it up every now and then or go longer periods of time
-
I've lost about 70 lbs with 30 left to go, the main thing for me is being consistent and doing my best to plan and guess calories before my day starts. I also exercise a few times a week, alternating between running, swimming, and weights.

SW 271 GW 168 CW 202.2 Only a couple more pounds!!
-
Technically this is a scale victory but I just weighed in at an "overweight" bmi and I'm so happy I'm crying! On my way to the gym now to work some more!
-
Doing my student teaching , will hopefully teach full time this fall! I've already lost 65 lbs but really trying to keep momentum or at least maintenance lol feel free to add me!
-
Been faithfully logging in for a year now! (well, I don't log All my food Every day, but I am here every day!)
-
I started running when I was in the 260s, and I get where you're coming from. You just have to get out there though, if it's something you want to do. I've also swam and lifted weights to help lose weight. Eating habits are going to be your best bet at losing the weight though, and I'm sure as you lose you will feel more…
-
I weigh every day, because if I don't I'm not paying as much attention to what I eat/exercise. But I only log about once a week, and that helps me be less obsessive about it, since it's more just for my own information than anything.
-
Try not to put time limits on youself, I've found that to be the most discouraging, because you stop focusing on just losing weight and more on how fast. And really, that's much less important and will make your loss less sustainable
-
So far weight has gone down this week instead of up like I was scared it might!
-
Mine is 168, just based off of BMI and what I've weighed in the past, but I'll have to reevaluate as I get closer! I do a lot of weights/exercise so I'm not worried about being in the top of the "healthy" range
-
That you could feel like you're done losing even when you have 30-40 left to lose. I have lost 65 lbs so far and feel so good and get such good reactions that my loss has slowed a lot. I'm just above 200 and 5'9 So I've still got a ways to go, but some days I feel done and some days I feel like I haven't made much…
-
I'm also a student, about to quit working but that's because I have to add in student teaching (just an unpaid job lol) but I've lost 65 lbs so far! Feel free to add me!
-
Awesome! That's about my goal also, I'm 65 down in just over a year :)
-
Lifting higher weights and seeing more muscle definition this week!
-
@FeraFilia I mean thinking "oh, I ran today i get to eat way more than normal!" its really easy to do lol then it's like you totally cancel out the workout
-
I started with just over 100 I lose, and I've always been somewhat athletic so I would run/swim every now and then, about a year in now and I'm down 65 lbs and I can do a mile in under 10 minutes! You can definitely do it, just try to stick to a schedule and not overeat when you do run (always been my issue with…
-
I have this issue too, and I do better when I plan my snacks ahead and just try to include them in my count for the day. Even if it means upping your limit by say 100 calories, then at least you stick to that 100 rather than eating a lot more.
-
I'm also 23 and have lost about 65 lbs so far! I've got about 30 more to go, I've been tracking calories and working out (running, swimming, weights) for the last year. Feel free to add me!
-
That seeing an old picture pop up can be kind of mortifying, like I've worked this hard, I don't want to relive that again! But it is nice to be able to see the progress..
-
I'm on a similar journey! I'm 5'9 and have gone from 271 to 206 in the last year, and I'm having trouble sticking with losing and getting down under 200 but hanging in there! Feel free to add me
-
Had 2 different coworkers tell me I look great/ask "you've lost a ton of weight havent you??" and while I don't do it for the recognition, it does feel good!
-
Definitely starting to feel the cold everyone has mentioned.. Also, that eating things you used to eat will not taste very good, or make you feel very good, same for eating too much, it just feels terrible, and I can't believe it was my normal..
-
Struggling with this problem at this very moment lol trying not to eat anything else today because I'm right at my goal. Its rough!
-
A guy I'm dating made a comment about how we're basically the same size, which was really funny to me because Ive been a little self conscious worrying about being bigger than him! It's crazy how stuck my mind can be about my size, but good to know other people can see my progress (even if they don't know it!)
-
To get to an "overweight" BMI and hit under 200 (hopefully by January) I'm at 206.6 right now. And to get to 25% lost which is maybe another 3 lbs. Gonna be tough work over the holidays...
-
Having the confidence to buy clothes a bit snug because you know you're still losing and you don't want them to be too big in a few weeks
-
6.7 lbs!!!! I'm hoping to hit by January!
-
I was trying on jackets and sweaters the other day with friends and got really nervous trying on a L, thinking it wouldn't fit even though XL was too big, and was really surprised to see it fit! Also a cardigan I've had for a couple years now has always been tight in the arms and last night I put it on and it actually fit!…
