Baked potato topped with one of these combos: broccoli and cheese Diced jalapeño, bacon bits, cheese Salsa, green onions and sour cream These should all be around 300 calories if you take it easy on the cheese. Ultra thin cheddar cheese slices give good coverage for only 45 calories. Soup is a great choice too, there are…

Hawaii is a great destination if you want to sample the local foods. Depending on your goals, try to have lots of fresh seafood and fruit, go easy on the sauces and sugary cocktails and enjoy yourself. Like everyone above me said, you'll probably be really active and able to reconcile any extra calories with exercise.

Mine is open to friends, I usually eat about that. Add me if you like!

I would have nachos. And maybe beer!

When my brother was in elementary school, one of his teachers didn't allow strawberries as a snack because the seeds get caught in your teeth (supposedly causing a cavity?). Some people are so weird. My child's preschool teacher requested "healthy" snacks and supplied a list of items that were encouraged, (fresh fruit,…

Thermos food jar will keep the food hot. Then you can have soup or chili, any leftovers really. I send my husband's and son's lunches in these and they are still hot 3-4 hours later. My son loves mac and cheese in his, or try rice with veggies and chicken.

Something I made tonight that was pretty cheap and tasty- spinach, tomato and white bean pasta. Saute garlic and red pepper flakes in a little olive oil until fragrant. Throw in half a bag of fresh baby spinach, cook until slightly wilted. Stir in a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes with juices and a can of rinsed white…

This is my issue too! I never felt fat until the scale went over 200 lbs, then I joined mfp thinking I'd just try to get back into the 190's where I'd always been. I lost 10 lbs those first few weeks. That's when a light bulb went on that maybe I had been doing something wrong all those years. I established a real goal,…

Marinated grilled pork tenderloin, roasted red potatoes, carrots with butter and a Stella Artois.

Here's what I would do- please correct me if I'm wrong or someone has a better way. Heat them, weigh the wings on the bone, eat the meat, weigh the bones and scraps, subtract it from the first weight. This number should be the 'edible portion'.

"Beanitos" chips are good and a bit more nutritious than regular chips. About the same calories but a little more protein and fiber. Have as much salsa as you like if you're not restricting sodium! I like scrambled eggs with a little cheese, salsa, and pickled jalapeño as a good nacho substitute as well!

Of course if someone becomes violently ill, keep the fish out of the office. Whining and complaining, (" eeewwww, that stinks" ) should generally be ignored in my opinion. Fortunately, everyone in my office makes a practice of minding their own business and not causing strife over things like the smell of someone's lunch.…

I eat sardines once in awhile. I bag the can and seal it before throwing it out. Nobody has ever said a thing about it. Neither would I complain about someone else's reasonable, healthy lunch. Some people are so uptight, thinking they have a right to never be offended, inconvenienced or annoyed.

Asparagus water?!?!? Eeewwwww. And they are charging 5.99. THat must be some great jar they put it in.

A twin pack of cookies in which a serving was 1/2 of one cookie. 2 cookies= four 300 calorie servings. I used to eat them all the time as a snack. No wonder I had 50 lbs to lose.

Yah, the bugles thing. The first time I gave them to my kids they did the exact same thing. Also, drinking soda through a twizzler.

There are quite a few decent options IMO. Portobella mushroom sandwich, salmon salad, fish tacos, and tilapia platter all sound reasonable if you ask for sauces on the side. I would even say the smoked turkey with a baked potato and vegetable of the day would be good if this is going to be your large meal for the day! :)

Exactly what I thought of! :)

Making sure to utilize all that I buy. Leftover meat and veggies can become soup, a quiche, an omelette, a salad topping. Save the bread butts in the freezer for croutons or bread crumbs. If there is a little peanut butter left make overnight oats right in the jar. If there's a little mayo left add some vinegar and spices…

Also a bit concerned that you said "a grape" was an occasional treat. Hoping you meant a serving of grapes.
