just make what you can eat fit in your calorie allotment for the day. exercise to get more calories.

what I do like about the 21 day fix is it visually shows you portion control. Now you could do this for free using a food scale or even measuring cups but it's not bad. It helps people who don't realize how much they are over eating. So that's a good thing. I am not a fan of beach body as I detest MLMs.

you might look into getting her a kettlebell. great full body workouts. sounds like she just needs to tone up? so i would think weight training of some sort would be better than cardio for her.
