I can do this! I've broken the barrier before, 5 years ago. Then I slowly went up 60 more pounds :( I started one year ago Jan 2017 at 262, and lost 30 pounds in 4/5 months. Same thing happens with my fitbit on my wrist. Always tight in the mornings. I just take it off and let everything breathe. I try to have a big glass of water before bed and one when I wake up (but often forget...)

I try to ignore the calories I've earned back from exercise for the most part. I just have a goal range of how many calories I want to eat in a day, and try to stay within there.

I really love my Fitbit Charge HR. Tracks steps, HR, calories... and that's pretty much all I use it for. I love that it syncs up with MFP... and I love knowing what time it is always lol. I do wish it was waterproof, other than that I am super happy. Fitbit has AMAZING customer service too.

Great idea to start a teacher thread! I have been teaching the first grade for 6 years now (in Calgary, Canada.) My biggest challenge is actually when I get home - I am often way too exhausted to cook dinner. This leads to lots of takeout. On good weeks, I prep my meals on Sundays. I am hoping for a lot more "good weeks"…

Oh and I also think some people are confused about extra steps - if you just leave your Fitbit on your counter all day, it will still "register" your base calories, like 1500 or so. These are calories, not steps. It only registers steps (and extra burnt calories) for when you move.

Jell-O…. or air-popped popcorn. You can have a LOT of plain popcorn for not many calories! I also try to fill up on a huge glass of tea (sometimes treat myself to one square of dark chocolate with that tea.) My new idea is also edamame beans or roasted chickpeas… not sure on the calorie count on those.

My goal is 30 minutes of daily exercise, in whatever form that may be. So that means if it's bed time and I have not moved, I need to get dressed and go for a short walk! :) Please ADD ME if you are reading this, I love having lots of active MFP friends supporting each other!!! We can do this!

Ditto! I was going to say I'll start in September, but why not today? I am going to a bachelorette party tomorrow... but not tonight! This is my big stepbfor today! LNSing is probably my worst weight-loss enemy. Can't wait to use lots of great tips to kick it to the curb!
