  • thanks everyone. i tried orange salmon yesterday at brunch - not a fan. my husband said it's too harsh for someone starting-out. i appreciate all the input, i will definitely try all these ideas!
  • it's very scary, esp when i see that my mom doesn't do all she can to prevent another h.attack. it upsets me to see her eating cakes and cookies and candies and completely ignoring her dr's warnings about her diet. we recently had a friend who had a heart attack at age 40. i know it's rare, but it scared us all. every once…
  • well, i take ALOT of meds for other things; definitely do not want to add another medication...and every time you add a med, you add side effects. plus my mother has had multiple heart attacks/strokes, so i am at high risk. honestly it hasn't been too difficult; my long healthy life is worth it to give-up a few foods.
  • i have to take medication 4 times per day, always with food. so i take a 100 calorie snack each time i have to take my meds. it makes me stay full throughout the day. i just make sure to log everything and ensure it fits w/in my calorie goal. you certainly don't have to snack if you don't want to, but if you're hungry,…

  • i have tried and failed many times. one day, i decided i was ready. no one else can decide for you. it has to come from within. i haven't been the same since - and my goal is going to be easier to reach b/c i am sticking to my plan.
  • i bet it smells amazing! i love the smell of fresh baked goods. unfortunately, it's not in my new diet plan as prescribed by my dr. :/
  • i love my food scale, unfortunately, it doesn't have a brand name on it. i bought it at either Marshall's or TJMaxx in the housewares section and i think i paid no more than $8-$10. i have had it for years and it still works great. MUST HAVE a TARE feature! and also OZ and GRAMS - must have both. i weigh everything, except…

  • i looked in my file and it was marked as spam, so i guess maybe someone thought metformin was some type of weight loss supplement or marketing ploy on my part. sorry if anyone was confused but met is a drug used for lowering blood sugar and other reasons as deemed appropriate by a dr. i was also flagged on another post…
  • I was? hmmmmmmmmmm???? :o

  • thanks, i sent you a F.R. - appreciate your input. :)
