I know your pain! My mom died from a stroke (health related issues) at the age of 41. I lost my mom when I was 14 years old. I've been on a yo-yo diet for the past 6 years and learned a lot about myself. I'm thankful for the "down" moments because I've learned what my weaknesses are and the correct way to view food. I've…

Great discussion so I figured I would *bump* this

Hey - I'm 26 years old. This is my 3rd time losing the same 100 lbs I've lost twice before in the past. I choose to look at the positive in losing this weight again. I've learned more about myself as a person, what triggers my indulging, and how to prevent it from happening. I believe I finally have control this time! I'm…

This is my 3rd time losing the same 100 lbs over again  I started again back in January of this year and I am down 16 lbs so far! I love to work out so that's not my issue; I believe my struggle has always been how I think towards food. I always used it as a anti-depressant since my teenage years, but lately I've…

I love how eating healthy and exercising makes me feel, but some days I feel a little upset about the fact I can't be one of those "I can eat what I want and never gain weight" kind of people. :/

I enjoy jogging (until I'm able to run) on the treadmill, the elliptical, and light weight lifting

Hey there! My starting goal back in January of this year was 100 lbs to lose. Since then, I have lost 15 lbs so far! This is my 3rd time losing the same 100 lbs  It's a journey for sure, but doable! Consistency is key! Feel free to add me

I've been on the "yo-yo diet" for years. I lost 83 lbs back in 2011 and would gain and lose the same 83 lbs over and over again. BUT this year is different. I've grown a passion for working out and I feel like I now know the proper way to look at food. I look at food as an energy source, not an anti-depressant like before.…

Some days I work out in the mornings (around 4AM) and other days I work out in the evenings (around 5:30PM). I personally enjoy working out in the evenings better. In the mornings, I don't feel fully awake or coherent yet so I don't think I give my workouts "my all" oppose to how I perform in the evenings. As far as the…

OP, your story sounds very similar to mine! I've been losing and gaining the same 70-80 lbs since 2011. I've decided recently to accept that this is a lifestyle change and something I will have to stick with for the rest of my life. Feel free to add me!

You look amazing! How long did it take you to lose 50 lbs?

I say try to find a personal, positive outlet to deal with the stress. Do you like working out? I didn't when I first started, but now I love it! It helps me to fully focus on me and relieve stress in a positive way that's very beneficial to my body and health. I'm not married, but I am a full-time single parent, full-time…

This my second time using MFP. In 2011, I started at 273 lbs, but I lost 83 lbs and weighed 190 lbs. Sadly, I gained most of my weight back so here I am starting all over again. I'm currently at 264 lbs. I choose to look at the positive side, at least I know what to do to lose weight! Feel free to add me!
