Holy cr@p this makes me SO MAD and breaks my heart!! I am so sorry you had to endure this kind of disrespect, especially in a moment of celebration. I too know this pain. At my highest weight I was invisible and treated poorly by strangers. I remember going into a clothing store, and the sales lady immediately ran over and…

SW: 315 CW: 236.8 April 1st: 236.8 04/07: 04/14: 04/21: 04/28: 04/30: I weighed in at the gym and their scale was higher than mine by 2 lbs! I'm using my home scale for tracking just because it's what I have access to most consistently. The gym scale will only be measured against itself hehe :)

Yup I get this dilemma! I totally struggle with protein too. I was vegetarian for 13 years before keto and I find I just can't eat enough protein in the form of food. I now make a keto shake each morning: 1 c unsweetened almond milk (0 net carbs) 1-2 scoops Kaha New Zealand Vanilla Whey Protein Powder (0 carbs) 1 scoop…

I agree that your calories and protein are low. I also agree to beware the Atkins bars, as Malitol does spike blood sugar in most people. Have you used a keto macro calculator? Give it a Google. The calculator will take gender, height, weight, activity level and desired goal into account and then give you a pretty good…

Hi @rosina89 ! I am also a teacher (Grade 3/4/5/6 multi-age split in a rural school). I did the keto diet for one year and lost 110 lbs! After taking almost a year off of logging and keto (and a few pounds gained, a few false restarts, etc) I am finally back on the wagon. I've got about 55lbs til goal and have started…

I was out of town for two nights. I didn't log but stayed keto. I'm home now, logged for today and will jump on my exercise bike for a bit ♡

If I eat too little, I don't lose. If I eat too much, I don't lose. After lots of finnicking, I found my "sweet spot", at about 1450 cals. Maybe try the lightly active setting and see if that works? Good luck!

I was out of town for the weekend. I didn't log my calories but stuck to keto foods. I missed Sundays weigh in but I'll check tomorrow. I'm okay if I didn't lose; I had fun :) I'll ride the exercise bike tonight and try to catch up on sleep. :)

It depends. I weigh ingredients separately before combining them together in a pan or dish. But if it is something plain like a piece of grilled meat, I'll weigh it after cooking.

This is a rarity for me too... but I'm a teacher and our school is on spring break. Two weeks of no alarm clock!! I have a huge to-do list, including "SLEEP IN!!"

Carbs give me serious inflammation and water retention. That's why I went keto in the first place, as an anti-inflammatory diet. I was a walking water balloon, and so achey & sore!! When I first went keto, I dropped 40 lbs in 2 months JUST from water. My cells and joints were sooooo happy. I do pack weight on unreasonably…

Hello Slimsons! I'm here and looking forward to participating with you in April. In the meantime I'll cheer you all on and get myself back into the groove of posting daily. Hi friends!! Happy to be back on the keto wagon!! I've spent the last few days cooking up a storm and doing tons of meal prepping. I'm determined to minimize obstacles so that I have smooth sailing back to fat adaptation. I've joined a fitness challenge and am logging diligently. It won't take long to lose what I've gained…

I did one year of strict, clean keto and kept my carbs under 20g/day. It was easy enough for me, but after a while I did miss eating a wider variety of veggies, fruits and nuts. I struggled for months to get back on track, so I raised my daily cap to 50g. I needed that for "mental" comfort and flexibility. It only took a…

I'm a two-meal-a-day person. Coffee only in the morning. Lunch around noon, usually a bunch of finger-food items like pepperoni, cheese, pickles, deli meat, celery & peanut butter. Then I'll eat dinner around 6. Usually just meat + salad, or some kind of keto casserole, stew or dish.

My mood is more stable. I don't have emotional ups and downs, or at least they are less intense. I don't get mood swings from hunger/bloodsugar issues either. :)
-
I weigh 3 - 4 x per week. I'm not phased by ups and downs, and I only record my weight if it's a new low. I love weighing in and seeing the daily and weekly fluctuations. I've gotten really good and knowing by how my body feels, what the scale will say :)

Yet another thing we have in common, Stormy! I love bowling, and I'm pretty good too 😁 I bowled for 10 years before moving too far away from any bowling alley to continue. I'll do still kick butt when I go into town with my co-workers or friends haha 😉

Awe, that is so nice :) I love that she's willing to make you food that works for you. Thats awesome! Also, psst - I think there are low-carb beers available, if you're not a purist perhaps you could buy a pack to taste and she could try one too? :) )

Check the protein of your meat. Not all meats are created equal. For example, turkey breast has more protein per 100g than chicken breast. And two brands of meat might offer different quality and thus nutrition. We eat a lot of bison, venison, turkey and organic beef. All great protein sources! I snack on nitrite-free deli…

Start Weight 315 lbs January 1st - 255.2 lbs Sunday 01/06 - 237.2 lbs Sunday 01/13 Sunday 01/20 Sunday 01/27 January 31st - Wow. My body was hurting so bad last week, which is what brought me back to keto. I was in physical pain from all the gluten I had eaten on the last day of my holiday. Like curl up in a ball kind of…
