+1 100% agree!

Nah, just the ones that don't own a food scale and refuse to use a food scale who can't figure out why they're not losing weight :p

Thank you! Those were interesting to read. To clarify I don't have an issue with binge eating/over eating but was just curious about where the line is between actually having an addiction or just not having self control. :)
-
Definitely have always wondered this too when it comes to food and binge eating.

I leave mine open. I don't care what anyone thinks.

People need to do what works for them. Personally for me, cutting out foods that I love for the rest of my life just isn't going to happen- even if I worked really hard at it and did for a while I'd be miserable! It's not sustainable. So now I find ways to fit those foods that may have less nutritional value and a higher…

IS THIS A REAL THING!?!?

Mmm pretty sure I ate round the clock through college with late nights and all nighters and still managed to maintain. The only reason I do not eat before I go to sleep is because I have horrible acid reflux issues and if I eat and go to sleep it only makes it worse! Has nothing to do with losing weight though :) Eta- I…

EXTRA MAYO FTW <3

Different strokes for different folks. I can eat less on a day without exercise if I HAVE to for whatever reason but I'm definitely a shorty that will work out harder and longer for the calories to eat more!

Adding my NO as well! NO no no no way.

I have a standing desk and it's great. It's stuck in the standing position and requires a lot of effort and time to put it back to where I can sit so I stand all day everyday.
-
Nope, weight loss is not linear at all. My weight fluctuates every day, I go by how my clothes feel.

I miss greek yogurt SO much :( Gives me the worst acid reflux after eating I can't do it anymore.

This is me to the T.

Eggs, tuna, and cheese for me!
-
No. I've taken a few different kinds a few years back, they don't work. The best thing to do is to plug your information (weight, age, height, activity level) into MFP and eat the amount of calories it gives you per day.
-
I really don't notice much of a weight gain during that time since my weight fluctuates between 1 to 3 lbs normally.
-
Me too! The thought that I don't have to restrict or cut out foods that I love makes this so easy and sustainable!

My dad has started the 17 day diet so many times I can't even count. "But Laura! You can eat all the veggies and tuna or chicken you want all day! You eat two yogurts a day and no fruits, nuts, sweets, alcohol, you should really try this" (He's lost no weight) "Mmm no thanks dad I'll stick with counting my calories and…

I have a diet pop or two every day one usually first thing in the morning and maybe one with lunch. Other than that I drink water all day the rest of the day. I always have so I'm not sure what happens when I don't drink tons of water.

LOVE all the dogs, wish I could pet and play with them all!

If you want to work out harder or longer, then go for it, but only because you want to not because you feel guilty or feel like you HAVE to do that.

Best Post I've read today, thank you!

OP, please don't feel like you have to punish yourself. You are perfectly fine in seeking help/feedback here. I agree with the majority of people- log it, don't beat yourself up, and move on. We all have been there, use it as a learning experience. You've got this!!

The best place to start is putting your stats (age, height, weight, activity level) into MFP and eating the number or calories they give you. Then when you've got that down you can start looking at macros and playing around with those numbers to see what works best for you. Just my two cents.

No I do not do cheat days or meals. If I want something bad enough I'll make it fit in my calories for that day/week.

:o I'd be so sad if I couldn't eat asparagus. Beets... not so much!
