I am fine. It was my own fault. Being on half term from school (teacher) meant I got to the gym am. not pm. and I hadn't factored in the difference made by a day's worth of nutrition and hydration. I shall be back there tonight for RPM, but will make sure I'm all fuelled up. Thanks for your concern.

Well, yes, those too.

OK, RichLn, not as embarrassing as any of those.

Mmmm. Ham. Yumm.

How pleased for and kind to me everyone has been.

I am 52 & have lost 55 lb. I am glad that there is hope for me.
-
That is such a good feeling. Well done!
-
That's just over a pound - well within tolerance for normal fluctuations, certainly to be expected from your regime change and absolutely not freakable. Consider yourself affirmed. Our minds play tricks, though, don't they? I am trying to get used to maintenance but, after losing 25k in 7 months, am finding it hard to let…

This article has some interesting suggestions http://www.healthyandnaturalworld.com/ways-to-tighten-skin-after-weight-loss/ though I am a bit :/ about how visualising tightened skin could possibly help.

I would like to know that, too. Thanks for asking the question.

I am planning to build myself a buffer so I can go over at Christmas. I have already started banking.

I once tried on a size 4 pair of shorts by accident. They fit! Didn't need them, but they were a 4! I bought them. They were on sale! Keep losing and enjoying your NSV's[/quote] I bought a UK 10 skirt at the weekend. I have never been a 10 in my adult life, an am not really now, but that skirt looks good and having a…

Just been shopping and bought a UK size 10 skirt for work. Now, this is ridiculous; I am NOT a 10, but I bless Seasalt for their friendly lies.

When in December? 14 lbs to a stone. 8 weeks till the beginning of December. Say 11 weeks till Christmas? After that it's just Maths.

The Air Ambulance is doing well out of me - I keep having to give clothes away :)

Thank you L4L, that looks interesting. I think I am going to slow my weight loss right down, reconfigure how I spend my gym time, moisturise and hydrate like crazy and see what happens.
-
Yes, looking to buy calipers. Thanks.
-
Yes, I am changing the balance of my gym work to reduce cardio and increase strength and resistance training. Thanks.

P.S deficit. I CAN spell.

Oh, I have calves now, which is nice. I even have a thigh gap. Then I have dumplings.
-
I think it's where there isn't as much fat as there was but still too much. I am in defecit, so it won't be muscle. My legs look like poorly moulded dumplings _ ah well, I have till next Summer till I will want to wear shorts; cold weather hiides a multitude of sins!

Hey, that's my cat!

Easing back into exercise today with a 3.5 mile walk. I can feel my back where I fell but am no longer incapacitated. I REALLY hope that weight whoosh stays off!

Someone brought bags of Sainsbury Taste The Difference Belgian choc cookies into the staffroom yesterday. I walked away from them. Today I am a healthy BMI for the first time in years and 3 days before my 52nd birthday. I am sure there is no direct correlation, but it feels like a reward.
-
Well, the pattern has continued, meaning I have hit a healthy BMI 3 days before my 52nd birthday. I had hoped for this but not expected it, so I'm chuffed!

Colleague at work said, "I want to look like THAT" and pointed at me. ME!!
-
I think it's a hand of bannanas.

I am finding I can manage on the diet calories alone, but it's not something I would want to do long term. Good job I am nearly there.
-
Could be. That means it will come back when I hit the gym again, hopefully next week, doesn't it? It will be interesting to see. I am sure the machines / MFP do overestimate, which is why I only eat back half. Maybe I need to drop that proportion.
