I've left a couple IF groups because they've turned into more of a Keto group than an IF group. There are moderate IFers out there who don't follow Keto at all (for example, I eat whatever I want within my calorie goal, and although I take no calories in while fasting, my fasts are almost never clean when it comes to…

About two years ago, I was consistently doing IF (a mix of 20:4 and OMAD, depending on my schedule, with the occasional 24- or 36-hour fast thrown in). I was doing really well on my weight loss even without tracking, and I just FELT better. Then I became a teacher while still going to grad school and I was just in survival…

This can be frustrating, but try to look at it objectively - unless you went over your calories by more than 10,000 yesterday, you did NOT gain 3 pounds in one day. Maybe you ate too much salt and are retaining water. If you are logging accurately and eating at a deficit, then you'll likely have a big loss in an upcoming…

"So, Jenna... There's considerably less of you than there was the last time I saw you." Hahaha! Yes, I guess there is. :)

That's what I was thinking - it certainly didn't feel like something that would heal quickly. :( Thank you!

Thank you so much! That's a lot of great information. I've never felt stiffness in my hips before, but did often feel it in my lower back after a run if I didn't stretch out really, really well. I'm sure I'll be hyper-aware of my hips from now on, though!

A week won't undo all of your hard work! You wouldn't expect one week of "perfect" eating to get you to goal, and one week of indulgence won't put you back at square one - just enjoy your vacation memories and get right back on with your day-to-day life routine. :)

You look fantastic - way to go!

I'm so proud to be one of your friends, and know you're set for a fantastic future!!

It's addictive, especially if you get involved in challenges! I love that it's pushed me into being a step hunter - I park further away at work and when shopping, I don't organize my shopping lists unless I'm pressed for time because wandering all over the store means I walk more, and I use the downstairs bathroom at work…

Good health is its own reward, I agree, but finding ways to reward our own hard work that don't involve food is also an important skill to learn, and it sounds like the OP has some pretty awesome ones lined up! My next one is a new driver's license picture when I hit the weight my driver's license says I am. ;) I have to…

You guys both look so great! You work really hard, and you're a great inspiration - awesome job!!

*peg-and-hole, not home. :)

First, I'm so sorry for your losses, but am so happy to hear about your recovering health! I was deciding between the Charge and Charge HR, and went with the HR not for the heart rate function (which is neat, don't get me wrong), but for the more secure, standard watch-like clasp. As someone mentioned above, I've heard of…

I experience the weight increase mid-cycle, around the time I ovulate (since I eat at a deficit, the "increase" shows up as a smaller-than-expected loss.) Then the week before and week of, I have huge 2 - 4 pound losses, as all the water weight goes away. It all averages out to about 1 - 2 pounds a week, and the overall…

I've been here - several years ago I lost 50 pounds and no one made any comments until I went and bought new clothes that actually fit. Loose clothes hide a lot of the work you've done (and I'm guessing they're REALLY loose after 60 pounds), and people probably can't see the results.

Okay, I just finished all reading all five bajillion pages on the "So you want to start running" thread and got all pumped up to start C25k, and these two pages single-handedly (nearly) changed my mind. ;)
-
Thank you both! :)

I have even thought of the 26.1lbs / 26.1 miles comparison - I love it! :)
-
Awesome! :)

Will do, thank you! :) I live right over in Renton! Want to join the team? :) I'm not sure of your fitness level, but none of the people who plan to join me are runners - I'll hopefully be there by next year's race, but this year we're all walking. It would be nice to know a local MFP'er, if you're interested! :)
-
Thank you all! @JenniferInCt - I definitely will! The walk is June 20th, and I fully expect to post some pics taken at the finish line!
-
Thank you! I'm especially proud that I actually signed up for it instead of making it a perpetual "I'm going to do this... someday" deal. I'm holding myself accountable, which is another MFP gift! :)
-
Awesome job! :)

Hahaha! I love both your resolve and your sense of humor! Amazing work, you look fantastic. :)
-
I love love love this idea, thank you! I struggle with boredom eating more than emotional eating - I also call it "auto-pilot" eating, because I'll have a snack half-prepared before I even realize what I'm doing. I'm getting better at it since starting MFP, because I've made a habit of logging my food before I eat. I'm…

You look beautiful in both photos, but I can see such a difference, especially in your eyes! Fantastic job. :)

You're incredible! Well done! :)

Nice!

Well done, and congratulations on all your hard work paying off!
