So lets clarify this MrSmartypantsM27. Please tell us all of the facts, because you are apparently a genius and I'm a "strawman".

correction: There are also plenty of us that practice intermittent fasting routinely with no "starvation mode". You mentioned fasting.
-
*It was not in depth information just a few tidbits which you claimed to be completely false.
-
There are LOW INTENSITY workouts more specifically that people use when on the fasting regime.

Wow, MrM27 Just wow. All this ridiculousness...hehe. Please tell me where you got your personal training education, and YOUR facts. I do not have accredited fitness education. I go by what I have achieved for my self, which I (suppose this would be the back tracking) shared in the first post. I was NOT in depth…

"If your goal is muscle growth or maintenance, fueling up is doubly important. Going into cardiovascular training hungry puts you at risk of significant loss of protein. When each gram you consume is valuable, fasting isn't your fat-loss friend."

Well, congratulations we can agree on something! " Lean is a physical appearance that someone achieves. Bulk is something someone does to add muscle while eating at a caloric surplus. If you have different meanings then feel free to share. " Now for the Fasting defence.…

I currently use a digital scale! Lovin' your ikea scale!
-
There is however an obvious difference between Lean and Bulk when referred to muscles.
-
Haha Jk.!
-
Just to clarify. Lean muscle is different from 'bulky muscle'

To me bad fat is TRANS FAT. When I say sugar I mean getting all of your sugar intake from chocolate bars processed foods. I didn't state that it is indeed going to make you gain unwanted fat. I said that it CAN - it is a possibility. For your "empty stomach" comment I did not claim it to be a fact though when doing HIIT,…

You're absolutely right!!! I agree!!!

Steaming any kind of vegetables is awesome! I made a vegetable "bake" tonight for dinner, zucchini, carrots, yellow beans and onions in a bake pan and put into the oven. I also had a sweet potato. Salad before dinner! As a late snack i was a little hungry, so i put 40g of zucchini in the steamer, with 20g of spinach.

Would hope so ! A few of my friends believe its a little "over the top". I love my food scale and don't know how I lived without it before!!!

"Lean muscle is gained with higher protein intake" So you're telling me that eating less protein than your daily needs are better for gaining LEAN muscle? You want to gain lean muscle weight, so stay away from bad fatty foods and limit your sugar intake. So JUNK FOOD (food full of sugar and unhealthy fats) is good for your…

How convenient. So many people hating the response. Obviously when you are gaining, you need more intake. Honestly just go for what you feel is right. Listen to your body. Was trying to help. Next time I won't waste my time. Thanks Guys.

Baked fish, chicken and eggs are great sources of protein. Chicken on a salad for lunch, and fish with steamed vegetables for dinner for example. Protein shakes are great for a quick post workout fix. I use all max isoflex, it mixes well and doesn't contain sugars. It has 27g of protein per serving. Too much protein however…

When you skip breakfast, you will be sending your body into "starving mode". It is not good for your metabolism. Your brain will crave very high calorie foods. Here is a good link that tells you some more of the reasons NOT to skip breakfast! http://www.mdhil.com/8-health-reasons-you-should-never-skip-breakfast/ -Liz

Lean muscle is gained with higher protein intake (don't over do it). You want to gain lean muscle weight, so stay away from bad fatty foods and limit your sugar intake. If you do a lot of cardio, you will lose weight more rapidly. Lift full slow reps and sets. Push yourself hard and rejuvenate your muscles with proteins…
