It’s a great stretch of water, close to home. Family of six bald eagles, ducks, falcons. Lots of nature. Paddling meditation at it’s best.

Got to take advantage of a rare sunny day here.

Welcome, and congrats on the grandkids. I have six, and find them more fun than when I was a young dad. More time, and money to spoil them. My oldest grandson and I are headed to a mountain bike park as soon as we get more than one sunny day in a row,

Welcome Marky1965 (kid...). That sounds like a demanding trek. While not a Christian, I admire the toughness needed to do something like this.

Well done Wayne. Prevented both our services being there for an unpleasant experience. I think basic vehicle maintenance and understanding of the mechanical systems should be a second required test of anyone who drives.

I took 11 huge bags of leaves over to my daughter for her garden compost. Two raking sessions, more to go.

I got out for a short paddle this afternoon to celebrate my birthday. Nothing to compare to Mikes trip. Fantastic river and scenery.
-
Yeah, I like the Road King, and Harleys in general. Just couldn’t resist the easy ground ball.
-
Well then, you’ll get lots of walking time then...

Any nutritionist who doesn’t recomment single malts is woefully incompetant, and should be summarily dismissed. I like both those types Wayne. I try different top shelf types when I’m feeling a bit more rich. My favorite by far, but a rare treat is Lagavulin 16.

I don’t spend extra on organic foods. I eat clean; fruit, vegatables and meat all locally sourced as possible. I’ve spoken to farmers here who say the whole organic thing is very misleading. As for the small amounts of chemical residue, 40 years in industry and 30 years firefighting have blessed me with one metric @#$&-ton…

Got back to the limo garage at 05:00 and had to wait for the windows to defrost on my truck. Still cold nights here. The struggle is real.

I did some rafting on the Nantahalla in Tennessee on one of my trips south years ago. Really enjoyed it. We only have a couple river operations here that rafts the tidal bore, the incoming tidal wave phenomina. I tried to set up a trip for a guys thing before my sons wedding years ago, but couldnt pull it off due to timing…

Thanks Wayne. I’m really happy with the whole set up. I can load it from the ground no problem with the rear sliding pads. Got all the paddles, safety gear, wet-ware, gym gear, and fire response gear all in the back seats. This rig makes me ready for all my age inapproprite behaviour.
-
Thanks! And I agree, with the gear on board, I plan to take any opportunity to get on the water.

i My new pick-em-up truck with racks installed, ready for kayaking if the sun ever comes out here.

My first day with the role playing group on the military base. I’d never done anything like this before. Had to jump through some hoops, fingerprinted and security clearance to get there, but it's like a second family now. All ages and backgrounds. Many of us are active or retired military and emergency services people, so…

It’s a 2013 750cc. Lots of power for me.

Got my beast out of storage and had a nice ride in 45 to 50 F temps. Earliest start ever I think.
-
Very nice. My wife and I are old hippys too.
-
I’m hoping to get mine out of storage and home this weekend.
-
Glad to see you back H2H. Sorry to hear of your difficulties.

The CB Trail is a great, twisty peg scraping ride. I did it a couple years ago, and hope to do it again this summer.
-
I used to ski a lot, but haven’t for several years. We have a small hill here, and I got to the point where I was squeezing every bit of speed out of all the runs, and getting stern looks from the patrollers. I should start again next year. The winters here are long.

Welcome to the new folks.

Now, where’s that old Speedo?

Good point on the HP air. I know better being a compressor operator for SCBA. In my defense, the constant soundtrack said “don’t worry, about a thing”

Some random geezer hauling tanks ashore between dives. Friggin old people need to act their age.

Unless I’m mistaken astrology involves stars and nuts.
