  • you eat less than 1000 calories a day? AND workout/ AND keep up with 4 kids? Why would you do that to yourself?
  • yesterday my total calorie burn on fitbit was 2900, I ate 1800, 1100 deficit. Does that mean my net was only 700 calories? that cant be good.

  • No it wasn't you, it was on the same thread though. In the last month my average calorie burn has been about 2800 per day. I'm eating 1500-1700 a day losing about 1.4lbs per week (averaged because one week it was 2 lbs and another week it was none) so I guess I'm where I should be, maybe could even eat a bit more. I wonder…

  • That is not true. I've lost 60lbs while still enjoying Burger King, chicken fingers and mudslides.
  • I usually have a "cheat meal" for lunch on Friday and we almost always order take out once during the weekend...I do allow those two meals to put me over my calorie goal for the week. The rest of my meals are what I want to eat but portioned so that it fits my goals.
  • I personally would recommend getting a fitbit, you can link it to your MFP and it calculates your exercise automatically, although I'm not sure how it would work on a bike. It would work on a treadmill if your moving your arms and not holding on
  • It is for me too, I only eat what I bring with me at work so that is easy enough, at home is a different story. But I've found that by staying between 1500-1700 I'm really not that hungry. I think I eat out of boredom more than anything.

  • Awesome job!
  • What is it? You just drink juice for 3 days? That sounds awful, why not just increase your activity.
  • Good lord no wonder you're exhausted! It's not a enough. I'd start at 1500 a day and see how you do As far as what kinds of foods, I eat the same food I did before, just less of it. For lunch I try to get some steamed broccoli and chicken breast, it fills me up and has very little calories ...this allows me to bring a lot…

  • I've done insanity twice now and one thing i noticed is that my body would slim down but the scale didn't budge much while I was doing it...something to keep in mind, measure yourself and take pictures to compare.
  • You didn't get to 310lbs by eating less than 1800 calories a day. I am 5'2 166lbs eating 1500-1700 a day and losing weight....
  • We have the same stats. I dont know how much you're working out but I do about 45 mins of cardio 3 times a week and lift 2 times a week. I eat 1500-1700 calories a day to lose .5-1lb per week. I feel fine, exercise should be giving you more energy. How much are you eating?

  • You can accomplish a lot in 6 months!! This time will pass whether or not you get started today...Motivation doesn't last but dedication does. You need dedication.
  • it's accurate enough to give us the info we need to meet our goals. I know most people underestimate their calorie input and over estimate their calorie burn so by eating back about half, some days more, some days less it seems to be working pretty well for me. .5-1lb a week is what I'm losing and thats right about where I…
  • I have mine linked, I have a desk job but track about 12-15k steps per day, plus weight lifting 2 days a week. I set mine at sedentary and eat back about half of the exercise calories it allows me so I'm eating about 1500-1700 a day.
  • Gaining steps from doing my hair doesn't bother me. I have myself set for sedentary because I have a desk job but I get about 12-15k steps a day. I don't sweat about it I dont even think about it. I just don't eat all of the calories I'm given because I understand slight movements can add steps/calories, I even gain steps…
  • this is how it has always been for me. I'll be steady at one number for a days, then a new low, then back up a couple pounds...soon that new low is my steady number, then a new low again.
  • I'm sorry, should have started before now lol Just do what you can until then. I'd count on losing about 5-8lbs at the very most.

  • I believe it overestimates calories burned. I've read several articles stating that it is not 100% accurate when it comes to calories burned. I can get 100 "steps" doing my hair :D
  • My fitbit is linked to MFP so I just let it sync itself, I dont trust the calories they give me though. I eat about half.
  • we have the same stats, I've lost 7lbs in 30days eating 1500-1700 a day, lifting 2 days a week, cardio 3 days a week, walking 10k-15k a day. I wouldn't expect much more than about 5lbs in 42 days...and no it wont make much of a difference appearance wise. I've found it takes a good 12 weeks to really see a difference. I'm…

  • I weigh myself everyday and log the number no matter what. This number goes up and down regularly due to many factors, none of which are weight gain, of this I am sure because I do eat at a deficit. By the way, I am 5'2 eating 1500-1700 calories a day and am losing. Here are my weight log ins the last few days, you can see…
  • I'm having the same problem, increased my water intake by quite a bit the last 2 weeks and now my face is peeling :|
  • 14lbs in a few days no....more like 20-30lbs over 40 weeks.
  • Even pregnancy seems unlikely, that is a lot of weigh in a few days.
  • 1200 calories a day is not enough, especially if you're active. What I do is set my activity level to sedentary on MFP...then I eat about half of my exercise calories. I walk 12-15k steps a day, do high intensity cardio 3 times a week and strength training twice a week (i probably should increase this to 3x a week but find…
  • I'd say if you follow the program truly you will most likely get your money back. They typically have you work out 5-6 days a week and eat at a deficit. I wouldn't follow this program long term you must definitely will burn yourself out
  • it works well for me, I have my activity level set to sedentary but I get 15k steps a day. I eat a portion of those exercise calories. Losing 1lb - 1.5lbs a week
  • there is a program here like that except it's $600 you have to lose 20lbs in 6weeks AND your body fat has to be under 50% at the end of the 6 weeks, if your profile pic is real then no you will most likely lose your $400.00
