Shrimp and chicken with shiritake noodles, in a sauce rich with butter and HWC, garlic and cayenne pepper.

The best scrambled eggs ever, with lots of bacon and all the bacon grease, mushrooms and spinach... Oh and some mozzarella cheese too!

I guess I may as well post my one and one before and after photo here. My driver's licence photos from August 2011 and September 2016. I simply don't have any other "before" shots. I still have a ways to go, but the difference is about 75? pounds here. Still want to lose more....

Thanks @Knit. I posted that mainly to boost my morale after a recent weight gain. At least I still look better than before I embarked on this journey. Also, I lack "before" photos, so this is all I've got, lol. Hopefully the new driver's license picture will become my new "before" shot. More changes to come.......

This seems like an indication that your taste buds are changing.... Or certainly you may be losing your affection for sweet tasting foods. My suggestion would be to go away with the sweetener in your coffee and sweeteners in general. You may not want to continue to eat sweet tasting foods. I try to avoid them myself. They…

When my family gave up eating wheat and milk years ago, we all experienced clearer sinuses. My daughter no longer needed to use her inhaler for asthma. I myself have not had a cold or flu since eating lower carb.

Oooh....that does sound like a spooky location !

Here's my tip for never running out of bones. I save every bone from all the meat I cook. I never purchase boneless cuts since I buy the whole animal or part of the whole animal from my farmers. I can get soup bones for free from them, but seldom need to do this since I save all my bones. You might be able to source a…

If you don't have bones, why not buy some bony cuts of meat ? I've seen chicken necks and backs at my grocery store, as well as beef soup bones, pork or beef ribs....just use your imagination. These cuts are usually quite inexpensive. I've been thinking of you @Sarahb29....I'm making chicken soup right now.... I used a…

Vodka and soda water with a slice of lemon or lime. Hardbite parsnip chips are quite low in carbs.

No dressing up for me this year, and I was hoping to avoid treats, but my daughter baked these low carb bat cookies today...... Oops. Luckily they're made with almond meal and stevia/erythritol but covered with some dark chocolate...

Bone broth and kombucha are my go-tos when I feel like I'm coming down with something. Most of our immune system lies in the gut, so taking care of our digestive system works wonders. You could purchase probiotic supplements, but I choose raw sauerkraut, kimchee, and kombucha to keep me healthy. I have been low carb for…

I'm in for back to basics. I'm hesitant to set specific goals, just want to see the scale going back down in the right direction again.

Lol...it's just meat and broth that has jellied......

Good ones @kirkor ! No Nonsense November strikes a chord with me.

No, don't give up Liz. If you crave comfort foods, we can help steer you toward some keto comfort. I'm glad your surgery went well. Each day that you avoid sugar and foods that behave as sugar, your body will thank you. LCHF should serve you well with your battles with cancer and diabetes, as well as with losing weight. I…

I don't think I'd shape it, maybe just peel it from the parchment and make a pliable soft taco. I do lettuce wraps too...

Wow, I sure need a challenge to get me back on track. The next two months will fly by with all kinds of seasonal temptations. I wasn't ready a month ago for a 90 day challenge, but I'm in the mood for two months of mindfulness, that's for sure.

Looks good to me, I'll have to try that !

Bone broth, ginger Kombucha, bland seasonings on my food, homemade cauliflower cheese soup, chia pudding

I can't stand putting anything on my skin, just pure soap and water and a mild moisturizer. I use homemade unscented old fashioned lye and animal fat soap that my farmers make. If I run out of that, I try to buy a very simple eco friendly soap. I've eliminated as many chemicals from my life as I can, so the only makeup I…

You're welcome. I forgot to mention things like nuts. They can be pricey but I don't buy them often, and I watch for sales.

All this talk about shiritake noodles had me craving alfredo. Just rinse the noodles off, no need to pay dry, but you could. Add butter to a pot, and heat up the noodles, adding HWC and parmesan cheese. I put a sprinkle of onion seasoning in there and salt and pepper and heated it through.

I am one who eats mainly organic grass fed and pastured meat and eggs. I have a relationship with farmers who will cater to individual needs. My monthly meat cost this year is $156. I have many reasons for choosing to buy my meat right from the farm, but the one I'd like to highlight here is the fact that I get many items…
