You can add me if you like! I'm always up for a challenge. :) https://www.fitbit.com/user/2GKZGK

THIS. There is a RANGE in terms of what is considered normal, so to say that people should be going [x] number of times a day is ridiculous. People can fall anywhere along the range and still be perfectly okay. I mean, seriously? If I was going after every damn meal, I would get myself straight to the doctor, because that…

....no. There is no "recommendation" that I know of that says a person should be having 1-3 bowel movements a day. That may very well be typical for some people, but I don't believe there is any such recommendation. I'd like to know where you are getting that "recommendation" from.
-
Well, if you have recently changed your dietary habits, that might very well be the cause. If you haven't, though, and the infrequency of your bowel movements is something new, then you should probably see your doctor just in case there is something else going on. If, however, you've *always* only gone once or twice a…

It doesn't necessarily have anything at all to do with dietary factors. There are numerous other factors that could be involved, and as a matter of fact, if this is something that the OP has only recently begun to experience, it's actually unlikely that it's due to dietary reasons (unless, of course, the OP has also…

Thank you for the links and the encouragement! It's appreciated more than you know. :)

Thank you for the input. :) I appreciate it!

It doesn't help that I currently live with my mother, who is...shall we say, slightly disordered in her eating patterns. She eats next to nothing and is always making little comments about my eating patterns -- she thinks that I eat way too much, when she's comparing it to what *she* eats. Of course my intake looks huge…

I had a comment from someone on my newsfeed the other day...after I had finished my entries for the day and the automatic status popped up in my newsfeed, someone commented, "Good job, but try to up the protein!" and, like you, my "*kitten* off" response was triggered. I didn't actually end up saying that, but it does…

I'm right there with you. I'd rather not have to put my b!tch face on, and that is going to happen if someone sees fit to make comments on things that I did not ask for feedback on.
-
Ahahah, that must have been it. Poor thing...they were hangry!
-
Believe me, I did. I was tempted to message her and ask her exactly who she thought she was, but then I decided against it. I don't give a damn who she is or who she *thinks* she is, there's no way I'm putting up with that garbage. She was on my friends list for a grand total of...well, I didn't count, but she didn't make…

I've only deleted one person from my friends list...and that had nothing to do with her calorie patterns or food choices. She just saw fit to comment on a status update I made, to inform me that "the word god should always be capitalized unless you are referring to a false idol." ....Um....no. *delete* I'm here to track my…

Clean eaters, in my experience, go into the same category as anti-vaxxers and fundamentalist religious nuts. When they start in, I just nod and smile, all the while letting their foolishness go in one ear and straight out the other.
-
AMEN to that.
-
Um. I hope you don't mind my saying so, but holy cow, you look awesome. And thank you for sharing, because it is so nice to see that, hey, you don't have to give up everything you love to be in great shape!
-
^^This. It became too late to "just delete them" when you made this post. If you didn't want to shame them for their choices, you could have simply removed them and not gone looking for validation from other people.

See, this kind of ties in with the thread the other day about why so many people keep their diaries closed. I mean, you don't actually know if the people you're talking about are actually *eating* that little, or if there are other things that they just aren't logging. You have no way of really knowing whether those…

I weigh once a week. I used to weigh every day but it was not healthy for me; the number on the scale began to dictate the kind of mood I would be in. Weighing once a week is plenty for me.

I would assume no. I've had my Polar FT4 along with the chest strap for three years now and I have not had to replace the strap. The only thing you'll have to replace is the battery in the heart rate sensor, that's all.

I used to be on here a couple years ago, and I had my diary public. I will never forget the day that I received a message from another member -- who I didn't know from a hole in the ground -- asking me "how in the hell" I expected to lose weight when I was "gulping down" chocolate milk "all the time". I had had three…

Oh god, I know. Since I'm only 5', I have had so many people tell me that I "need" to weigh just above 100 pounds. At my lowest weight, I was 140 pounds and I looked absolutely fabulous (if I do say so myself, and I do). I was wearing a size 7 in pants and a small in a shirt. These "ideal weight" charts and all that…

A person having their diary closed has absolutely nothing to do with how "bad" their diary is. Congratulations, though...your comment is the sort of judgment that people who keep their diaries closed are trying to avoid. So thanks for proving the point. Long story short: you don't know the reasons behind someone keeping…

THIS. I currently have my diary open to friends, but I wouldn't hesitate to close it if someone saw fit to comment on what I eat. I do this to be accountable to myself and no one else, so I don't really give half a *kitten* whether anyone has a problem with the status of my food diary. How does it affect you if someone…

It's comments like yours that make me wish there was a "like" button on MFP. It's true. Some people like to "keep themselves to themselves", as my grandmother always said, and they don't particularly want comments from other people on what they eat. Yeah, they might be using MFP and they may even post with a question, but…

I love "Titanium" by Sia, and even though I can't *stand* Kanye West or Eminem, I also love "Not Afraid", "Til I Collapse", and "Stronger."

I had a Fitbit One for a couple of years and I loved it, but I did find that sometimes, because it was so small and discreet, that I would forget to switch it from my school/work clothes to my workout clothes...and that got really annoying after it happened a dozen times. Even worse was when I would forget to switch it…

Ah, that's a beautiful spot! Used to go down there summers when I was a kid. :)

Holy crap. What part of Central? I grew up in Grand Falls-Windsor (and still here!)

Where on the Rock are you from? :) Not gonna lie...it's kind of cool to find another Newfie here. *L*
