Don't get too hung up on fixed schedules. As long as you are not training the same muscles everyday it should not affect your strength gains. Any workout is better than no workout, plus it has to fit your schedule or it wont be sustainable.

Why no go by instinct? Keep a journal, change exercises once in a while. High reps when you feel like it. Make it fun!
