It's not, though. You have to realize when you're too full and the thought of food disgusts you, this is a chemical reaction happening in your body. Your stomach, brain, neurons and chemicals are telling your body "I'm full do not eat food - feel bloated, sick, etc". If you're not getting enough calories and food disgusts…

There's no magical answer based on natural law to this. Some people can handle them and some can't. I know for me, on my weight loss journey, a "400 calorie bonus re-feed" would turn into 800 calories, then turn into "today doesn't count I need to eat/enjoy every food I've been restricting while I can and then get back on…

Helped me out a lot. I stopped thinking about my meals and food all the time and just had a big feast every day after my cardio @ 3~pm then got some veggies/chicken in around 7-8, repeat.

peanut butter ice cream milkshakes :^)

steak potatoes brussel sprouts and broccoli is like my staple "balanced meal".

450-500 cals of oatmeal or chicken/veg for breakfast. Usually 5 hours later I'll finish my calories off at 1-2pm in a huge meal. This has been surprisingly effective for me the last week or two. No food cravings and I feel very satisfied.

I used to feel hungry ALL the time. Once I started doing more things, focusing on school, exercising more and just drinking water/reading/occupying myself and eating slowly I noticed I can go 6-7 hours without food easily, whereas I used to want to eat every 2 hours And as a somewhat obvious tip. If you're hungry, make…

Had 1000 of my 1800 calories as pancakes today so that was fun =)
-
The fact that you had to make this thread asking us if 1000 calories a day is a pretty good sign that you know it's not.

Diabetus, insulin resistance, overall health. There's more to the body than just looking good in the mirror :)

Most protein powders are similar minus some added sweeteners/fillers. If you want to feel full eat chewable solid foods, imo. Otherwise, just get something cheap and tasty that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup like MTS

oatmeal

Not to be rude or obvious, but just walking every day outside for some fresh air and you'll improve drastically. Just hydrate before hand, make sure you pee before you go, and bring some inspiring music :). good luck

Buy some crystal light or mio. Yea, artificial stuff isn't "the best", but it helps me drink 2 gallons a day
-
While I use an absurd amount of artificial sweeteners, and I know all of the tests have been done on rats and human studies haven't shown any harm, I think it's awfully naive to think that there isn't some downside to them.

The actual process/ritual of making my morning oatmeal seems to help me wake up and transition into a productive day. Not to mention it lets me focus on school and not feel tired or hungry. Up to you though
-
I'm Brad. I eat oatmeal, chicken, fruits, vegetables, beans, rice, cereal, meat, and lots of what I eat is processed because it tastes good; it's cheap; it helps me hit my macros. The world isn't going to end because I put 24g of protein in my oatmeal for flavor =)

5'6, 145 lbs. I'm eating 1800. I do a 50 minute walk every day around ~5 mph, fairly intense, otherwise I'd probably only eat 1650-1700. Once a week or two I'll go to slightly over maintence with exercise and eat like 2500 to sort of "replenish" myself and avoid feeling weak.
-
Try to fit smaller portions of things you enjoy into your macros so you're not encouraging yourself to binge or ruin a week of progress eating 6 donuts or a container of icecream
-
Surprised nobody has caught this yet, lol. There is no starvation mode. If you're gaining weight you're not eating at a caloric deficit (or holding some water weight)
-
Net calories are your calories after exercise. If you eat 2000 calories and burn 300 walking you're at 1700.
-
Can't speak to this enough. I would buy sugary cereal like reese puffs when it was on sale for "a little treat" and then a few days later eat two huge bowls back to back. It doesn't solve the issue, but it can help. Deep down it's just about finding value in yourself and wanting to be happy. Try to set your goal, picture…

50 oz of ice water then I spend 15-20 minutes cooking oats on the stove with some fruit, stevia, vanilla and fruit. Favorite part of my day :)
-
Just make a fruit smoothie with frozen fruit. Tons of volume for low calories and you can add protein powders, nuts, oats, extracts, milk, etc.
-
Water weight >_>
-
Unless you ate 4200 calories over maintenance in two days I don't think you have a problem ;)
-
Keep in mind that coffee is mostly water, and most people get their fix in the morning, so having to pee after you drink it doesn't necessarily mean it's the caffeine.
-
the worst is staying hydrated while exercising. I'll pee twice, start my morning hour long walk, and 15 minutes in it hits me >: (
