  • Yes to both! I made brownies once with a chocolate avocado frosting. I love chocolate and I love avocados, but the combination was disgusting.
  • Full fat everything except Greek yogurt. I use it a a major source of protein and I like to eat as much as I can for the least amount of calories.
  • The kettlecorn one is pretty subtle. The flavour is good, but I didn’t really recognize it as kettlecorn until about the third cookie that I ate.
  • I had a similar experience. My husband and I got in the car one very cold morning to go to work, and all over the car (especially the ceiling) was little brown splatters. For a minute I thought something horrible happened, but then I dipped my finger in one of the spots, smelled it, and then tasted it. Root beer. He had…
  • Can’t you just buy more? I can’t imagine telling my husband he wasn’t allowed to have something.
  • They use artificial sweeteners. How would it be faulty advertisement?
  • But they’re not talking about potatoes slathered in butter. Just plain potatoes. Or other starches.
  • Yep, right here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10637861/wow-that-had-how-few-calories/p1
  • I was thinking the exact same thing, lol! He seems like one of those people that spills a little bit of water in a supermarket and then “slips” on it so he can sue and collect damages for his “injuries”.
  • I do that too, especially when I’m out of yoghurt and I have cottage cheese. I really like the flavour it adds. Sometimes I’ll add Greek yoghurt and cottage cheese, and I think I like that combination the best.
  • They are, unless you have a medical condition that requires you to limit them.
  • Whaaaat? I so have to try this, it sounds like it would either be really good or really gross. Going to have to add cherry Coke Zero to my shopping list.
  • My grandmother, and my other grandmother’s caretaker/housekeeper both made amazing chicken and dumplings. That’s probably my favourite childhood memory food, and it’s something I haven’t had in probably 20 years. My grandmother’s caretaker used to give me little pieces of the raw dumpling dough and it was so good. I’ve…
  • That sounds amazing. The same video about artificial vs natural flavours also had a segment where they had lots of little vials with clear liquid in them. They were all different flavours, and people were tasting them and trying to guess what flavour it was. It looked like a lot of fun. The people doing the testing were…
  • To make it taste better? Here’s a good explanation of the difference between natural and artificial flavours: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/what-is-the-difference-be-2002-07-29/ I remember watching a science video many years ago explaining the difference, and they showed in a lab how they’re each made, and…
  • Save them from what? There isn’t anything wrong with artificial sweeteners, and ingesting them is nothing like smoking a cigarette. Mind your own business.
  • This is exactly why I try not to have peanut butter and chocolate in the house at the same time! I have no control with peanut butter and chocolate chips together.
  • My favourite thing to make with coconut flour is muffins. This is the recipe I use: http://www.delightedmomma.com/2012/10/flourless-lemon-poppyseed-muffins-paleo.html I’ve used the base recipe to make different types of muffins, not just lemon poppyseed.
  • I can confirm this. This was me as a child, not allowed any “bad” or “unnatural” foods. There are 3 incidents I remember well. One was at a badminton camp when I was 6, they served hot dogs, and I ate 7 of them. Another time I was about 9 and at a friends house, sleeping over, and I kept sneaking off to the kitchen and…
  • Yes, those! And these:
  • I buy the store brand because it’s cheaper, and they have some nice flavours. A lot of them don’t compare to the real brands (like diet store brand ginger ale is very strange tasting), but I find they’re good enough when I want a sweet drink. Someone else posted the Sparkling Ice drinks, which are really good, and there’s…
  • You must not have, because the OP said: Water isn’t an artificially sweetened diet soda, so it isn’t a helpful answer. A lot of stores carry generic diet sodas in lots of flavours, lemonade (carbonated), orange, root beer, ginger ale, caffeine free cola, and more. It’s actually pretty easy to find caffeine free diet soda.
  • My sister used to sleep eat at the height of her anorexia. Have you been undereating?
  • Not weird. Jam and cheese sandwiches are the best. Jam and cheese on toast is even better.
  • Peanut butter, yellow mustard, dill pickle, and cheddar cheese sandwiches.
  • Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly what I have. I’ve had them during exercise (very rarely) but they happen mostly if I do a short burst of activity and then stop, like you mentioned running up the stairs. I also get them on the first day of menstruation for some reason. My doctor said it’s normal. I’ve had lots of blood…
  • I have an irregular heartbeat, but I’ve never had shortness of breath or tightness in my chest so I’m not sure if I have the same issue that you do. Hopefully you can get some answers from your doctor.
  • I make most of my meals from scratch, but my husband eats a lot of convenience meals. It is way less work to just take something out of the freezer and pop it in the oven. I make a lot of bulk food to freeze for myself and it’s a lot of work and takes a lot of time. All the prep my husband does is taking it off the shelf…
  • Yeah, this. I’ve never looked at someone else’s diary, and I have no desire to. I can’t think of any reason why anyone would want to look at what I’ve eaten today (let alone a random stranger online). Even friends. Why the *kitten* would they want to see what I’ve eaten?
  • I always use regular milk when a recipe calls for almond milk. I don’t like almond milk so I don’t buy it.
