For anyone in the Calgary area, I found more at the Crowfoot Co-op. They have a few more flavours than Superstore has (cookies & cream, birthday cake, chocolate, and caramel macchiato), they’re slightly cheaper, and they’re in stock.

Twice. Once before bed, and once in the morning. I only wash my hair twice a week, though.
-
Yes! I could only remember the chickpea and red lentil ones because I have them in my kitchen. There’s lots of rice pasta, black bean pasta, and mung bean pasta as well.
-
If you have a Bulk Barn near you, they sell chickpea pasta and red lentil pasta (and a few more, I can’t remember off the top of my head). They’re in boxes on the shelf, not in the bulk bins. Edit: Actually, they may have some in the bulk bins, I’ve just never looked at the bulk pasta! Only the boxed stuff.

Yes! If I don’t get enough sleep I am hungry all day.

I want to try them, but the flavours don’t seem as interesting as the Halo ones, so I’m trying those first. I’d like to compare the vanilla Breyers to the vanilla Halo Top, if we ever get it out west.
-
Ooh, I completely forgot Save On would be carrying these. That’s good news!
-
No Metro. I’ve actually never even heard of Metro stores until this Halo Top discussion!
-
Superstore is only carrying 4 flavours. Peanut butter swirl, salted caramel, pancakes & waffles, and oatmeal cookie, so I will for sure be trying the salted caramel! If they go on sale sometime soon I’ll pick up at least one of each. Unless another store starts carrying them (I know articles stated that Co-op would carry…

I bought the oatmeal cookie one. I really like it, and will buy it again, but not for $7.48, lol! I’m also going to be buying the pancakes & waffles one, just because everyone says how gross it is. I have to see for myself. It’s definitely not real ice cream, but it’s not at all icy like all of the other low calorie ice…

Yeah, most official documents here use metric measurements, but that’s the only time I see it used. My husband has a medical condition that makes him not able to keep weight on, so he’s weighed at the hospital/doctors office very regularly. Always in lbs, no matter what hospital/clinic/doctor. I guess it’s different for…

I found them right beside the ice cream bars, popsicles, and ice cream sandwiches. They may be in a completely different area in your store, but that’s where they put them in my store.
-
Ah, that’s too bad. Hopefully soon!
-
Check at Superstore. Found them today in Calgary, and they’re still not listed on the Superstore website so you may be able to find them.
-
I’ve heard so many people say this, that it makes me want to try it. I don’t know why!
-
Found them. They’re in the regular ice cream aisle, and they’re pretty expensive. $7.48 is a bit much, so I only bought one for now. I’ll wait for a sale to get any more.

Yes, we switched to metric, but no one uses kgs for body weight. The only place I’ve ever seen it is drivers licences, they will convert your weight and height to metric, but no one actually uses those for measurements. For height we use feet and inches and weight is lbs. Even doctors offices weigh you in lbs, at least all…
-
Not in Canada. Canadians use lbs for body weight. I’ve never come across anyone who uses kilograms here, except they will convert lbs to kgs on drivers licences.
-
That’s good to hear, maybe I’ll check again, then!
-
Did you actually see it, or did they just tell you they sell it? I still haven’t seen it. :\

There will be some at Superstore on the island, as soon as they start carrying them (which someone earlier in the thread said will be late this month).

I was a vegan for almost a decade and a half. I never felt “fresh”, whatever that means. My body actually feels a lot better since I started eating meat again, including red meat. I do eat beans and lentils, though.

Yes, and it only affects my workouts very occasionally. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to completely stop a workout because it was too much to continue, so it’s pretty rare. I usually just work through it and it settles down.

I need 8. I go to bed early to make sure I get that much. I don’t like feeling tired all day from lack of sleep.

Fruit and Greek yoghurt.

Favourite smells: Coconut. Like, the old sunscreen coconut smell. Passionfruit. Cardamom. Rain. Fresh seafood. Memory smells: The ocean. Reminds me of being a kid, I grew up on the beach. Cedar. The house I grew up in had cedar wood walls that smelled amazing. Campfires. Least favourite: Dogs. The smell of dogs makes me…

That’s so true. The one closest to me (Hamptons, in the NW) is an awful store. They’re always out of everything and the store is pretty messy. Sometimes entire sections of shelves are bare. We will go over to the Huntington store occasionally because everything always seems to be in stock, and it’s a lot more organized. I…

So does mine, but it doesn’t actually weigh ml because ml are not a measurement of weight. It weighs grams. That setting can only be used for liquids like water.

The only thing I have really found online is not to microwave food that has no moisture in it (like, dry oats?), and not to overheat oils because they can get too hot. Every other precaution has been stuff like, don’t put containers from the freezer to oven, don’t put hot containers into cold water, don’t put hot dishes…

So, just got back from Superstore in Calgary. No Halo Top. :disappointed:
