No Metros in Alberta. According to the Halo Top website, the only Alberta stores that have it are Superstores.

No, mL and grams are not the same weight, unless you’re weighing water.
-
The store locator says that it’s in Calgary and Edmonton (all of the stores are Superstores, I believe), and that the stores only have 4 flavours. Peanut Butter Swirl, Sea Salt Caramel, Pancakes & Waffles, and Oatmeal Cookie. I also read that it’s in the natural foods section, and not the ice cream section. My closest…

I’ve never heard that you can’t put them from the fridge into the microwave, where did you hear this? That isn’t even something Pyrex says not to do. We’ve been microwaving glass Pyrex from fridge to microwave as long as I can remember and have never had an issue.
-
Sometimes just leaving it in the fridge for a few days after cutting it up will make it a bit more sweet, but if it’s really unripe that might not make much of a difference.

Your final product won’t weigh the same as the raw ingredients, so you can’t enter the pre-cooked weight as the final servings. I weigh my pot before cooking, and then weigh everything after to get a final weight.

Ah, I see. Those aren’t 2L, though, they’re 1.6L. I thought maybe you were finding bigger containers than I’ve seen. Those Breyers containers are $5.99 at my RCSS, but they’re not on sale here. Maybe just in Ontario? Don’t think I’ve ever seen them go down to $2.99. I’ll have to watch for that next time they’re on sale.

I eat something similar every day. It’s pretty much chicken noodle soup (carrots, celery, onions, noodles, and chicken) but I reduce my stock so when it’s cold it gels up quite firm, and I eat it cold. The egg in yours seems weird to me, but I like eggs, so I think I might try it next time!

How big did you think a pint was? They’re exactly the same size as Häagen Dazs, Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers Delights, and also the same price (Ben & Jerry’s and Häagen Dazs are $6.99 for a pint, regular price). I’ve also never seen Breyers in a 2L container, or for that low of a price, or that low calorie. Where is this?

Yep. My husband is diabetic with gastroparesis. Low fat and low fibre is the way to go. Lots of white bread and white pasta. No way he could eat keto, he couldn’t even eat low carb.

That wouldn’t leave me with enough sleep unless I’m eating at 9 and going to bed immediately after (in bed by 9:30). I can’t even imagine eating later than 10pm, especially with clean up and things to do before bed. But I need 8 hours or I’m tired all day.
-
If it’s only a few days I wouldn’t bring it. 2 years ago I went away for 2 weeks and didn’t bring my scale and I wished I had, so last year I brought it with me and I’m glad I did.

I do, and more, without trying. I eat a lot of fruit, vegetables, beans & lentils.

Could be, but I have hard water as well and sometimes they just don’t want to peel. I’d say 90% of the time mine peel with no problems, but the other 10% I have to scoop them out with a spoon or I’ll just end up mangling the egg. I have no idea why!
-
I think all of these methods work… and sometimes they don’t work. I’ve had 2 eggs from the same carton, cooked together in the same pot, for the same amount of time, and one peels nicely, and the other doesn’t. I have tried all different ways to boil eggs, and putting them in already boiling water and then into cold water…

Yes, I can totally relate to this. Whenever I’ve tried to just eat “healthy” foods, I’ve had some of the worst binges of my life. It never goes well. When I include foods that I actually want to eat, I have no problem sticking to my calorie goal and losing weight. Some days it’s nothing but pizza, ice cream, and cookies,…

I always remove the skins. Potato skins taste like dirty paper to me, I just don’t like them. I use the “without skin” entry.
-
Omg, I love Cheemo perogies! My parents fed them to me when I was little.
-
Broil them, that’s how I cook all of my fish.
-
I made them as well, and I mixed dried jalapeño flakes into the dough, plus a little bit of shredded cheddar, maybe 1/4 cup. I did add more cheese on top, but not much, and also added the jalapeño slices on top. I used pickled jalapeños for the top because I didn’t have fresh.
-
I add tomatoes and/or salsa.

We were talking about chicken breasts and egg white omelettes. I don’t recall ever making a comment about any of the foods you just mentioned. And I’m not sure if you know this, but people who eat hamburgers and Oreos, can ALSO eat lemon chicken, smoked salmon, peppers, and mushrooms. I know, it’s shocking!
-
Yes, I like my food to actually taste good, and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you can eat boring tasting food, go for it, but I’d rather enjoy what I’m eating.
-
Probably happier than if you had eaten plain grilled chicken breasts and an egg white omelette. Sounds like pure sadness.
-
That’s not how it works. Time isn’t taken off of your life because you didn’t eat the most nutrient dense food possible every time you ate.
-
I had 2 hamburgers for dinner last night (homemade) and an Oreo this morning. I must be pretty close to death.
-
That sounds like a good idea to me. If I had one I would definitely use one in my hotel room.
-
I would just sit on the floor right in front of the tv so I didn’t have to get up and walk to change the channel or volume.

Any kind of fruit is good, but I also like to dip raw vegetables into cottage cheese. I agree with the spaghetti suggestion. I mix it in (not fully, sort of just swirl it in) to the tomato/meat sauce. I also use it in lasagna instead of ricotta. My mother uses it as a salad dressing, which I’ve never tried but it’s…
