  • They usually add up after midnight and after I have completed the day. For some reason MFP gives me way more calories than fitbit. So I follow the fitbit, then after midnight, MFP seems to adjust to the fitbit and they are about the same, so I would follow the fitbit
  • He loved it. No hubby is not low carb. I had the cheesy cauliflower and gave him fries .. What? I wrote a huge reply and it's gone! Anyway I will make it shorter. I used Cajun Seasoning on the back side and only salt on the skin. (Norwegians are just as potato crazy as the Irish! Believe me). There is an Asian market that…
  • I just weigh the raw and don't change it. that way I am getting a little less than I think I am... but I ALWAYS go by weight, not "large" or "Medium" cause who know what THAT means? The USDA is a good tip for getting some of the most correct.
  • I have had good luck with cheats.. oh well, ok luck. I don't make keto sweets (except the occasional cream for strawberries, but I actually prefer them without). I have been able to have a BITE of cake, just to taste it, once I had 3 mini desserts and I have had a few days (birthday) when I went way over my carbs (to have…
  • I made the Cracklin' Chicken. It was yummy and a hit with the hubby, so I will make that whenever I can find the legs and coat my wings in almond flour as usual for me and flour for him... lol..
  • How did you do? Nothing wrong with a planned treat now and then!
  • Yeah. I am kinda all or nothing.. so I avoid those foods as much as I can. I eat them now and then, but mostly not.
  • I think it's lack of a good sleeping pattern and Sugar is an ADDICTION. Try to go off gradually. Try a sugar sub like Truvia.. I was a sugar and carb addict, but I have a family history of diabetes and decided to go low carb. I am not suggesting that's the solution for you, but now I just tell myself I cannot have sugar. I…

  • You are my new inspiration!!! Great job.
  • Did no one welcome you? Shame on us! Welcome. I hope you find the support you need here, even though we can be a bit slow!!!
  • well I meant they usually only have drumsticks with the skin attached, but I lucked out today and found the whole legs with skin, so I will be making that tonight!!! thanks for the reminder. Redemption dinner. with cheesy Cauliflower and a salad.
  • we do have legs with the skin on. I could try that. Thanks. I wouldn't try it with the breast, because I think the conking time would make the breasts dry (nothing worse to me)
  • I usually use almond flour or nothing, just seasoning for whatever type of cuisine it is. I don't know what possessed me! I have always wanted to try that cracklin chicken. But I have never found thighs with the skin on them here. I have found thighs once and they were skinned. Norway is very weird with food. No turkey…
  • Sorry for the slow answer. Yes, I am in Norway. It took me until after I added the auto net carb script (only works on a computer, not ios or android) and I had bad values. so yeah, just add the fiber and carb grams together. It's kind of easy to tell where the info comes from, because the US stuff is mostly in ounces and…
  • Welcome! This is a great bunch of people. I sure you will like it here. Congratulations on your weight release  You will find the people here VERY informative and supportive. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
  • I can't find a recipe that I like at all.. I don't know if I am not doing it right, I find the cauliflower taste overwhelming, especially with Asian dishes. I LOVE cauliflower mash, but I cannot seem to get the flavor to mellow out enough for cauliflower rice. Maybe with Indian food it will be a better mix?
  • Me too! what an awesome group of people
  • Yes, remember that people are entering this data themselves, so error is common. I try to check several entries. Also I notice sometimes people don't care to put in things like sodium. so be mindful of this and last, check the carbs because If it's from Europe for example, their fiber is already subtracted from the carb…
  • Yep.. looking at your diary, You are not eating enough. I am 52 started off at about 265... but I was eating 1800 cals a day. I have lost 40lbs since March. It's not fast. 5-6 lbs a month (after the initial 15 pound drop) but it's moving. .... just try. seems counter intuitive, but it will probably work
  • yeah.. remember the fitbit adjustment (if you have it set to sedentary) is ALL the calories you have burned to that point. Your exercise or steps and your BMR
  • Yeah, the texture difference is the main thing, a little bit taste too, even fish I have vacuum packed and frozen from fresh. Fresh is best!
  • I was keto and l 20 grams or less the first few months. But have upped that as I don't feel great at so low levels, so now a normal day is between 25 and 50 net carbs a day. Have had a couple of high carb days lately (birthday and such) had an 4th of a piece of pie and wine on Tuesday and had a headache all day yesterday.…
  • I am about 90% Stevia, 10% erythritol, that said, I really only use it in my tea, so a very small amount. But.... I do drink wine, but I am losing slow (5-6 pounds a month) I need to see this as forever, so I am living and the weight is still coming off...
  • Awesome. Let it go!
  • Yeah, you are free to add me, but since I live in Norway, some things will have Norwegian names....
  • Oh coconut curry. Yum but I have so much trouble enjoying it without the rice. Cauliflower rice just is t the same!
  • Splenda is pure poison, so I wont use that. If I really get sick if the taste of Stevia (liquid only) I will use erythritol (alcohol sugars) but only in moderation.
  • just keep eliminating one at a time. But there are plenty of meat and fish you can eat, yes? Fatty salmon with the skin crispy, pork (I do love a pork chop.. that'll get your calories up there... Smoked Salmon, lamb, then of course butter on it all, avocados...
  • less likely to eat "bad" food, less stomach upset. No stomach cramps if I do eat something sweet. Ability to say no to sugar or bread when I am out. The ability to eat ONE potato chip if I feel must try it.
  • Fitbit did an update, and since then I have trouble no only synching here, but synching to the fitbit app as well...
