cardio builds stamina. and depending on what you do, can create a decent calorie deficit. plus when you workout, you get to eat back some calories which is nice.
-
Once a month they have free pizza one day, free bagels another day. But my PF does not participate in it, probably because pizza and bagels here are expensive.
-
I like the one by me. Has lots of cardio machines and equipment, I see buff dudes there lifting all the time. Never heard the lunk alarm go off and the one by me doesn't do pizza and bagels once a month.
-
sorry, it's actually less. more like 60 to 70. i dunno, i would have it done if I were having a hard time losing weight despite eating well and exercising.
-
the test isn't that expensive, about 60-70 bucks. could be less depending on where you live.
-
Get a BMR/metabolic test done and see what it says. This way you'll know how much you need to eat. My bf's co worker has this and had to start on statins and he's thin but I guess everyone is different. Your fitbit doesn't take medical conditions into account.
-
Maybe your fitbit is overestimating calories burned. how can you have a metabolic disorder but have all good blood work?
-
My friend has hypothyroid. has been able to lose weight. another has no thyroid, she's thin as a rail. thyroid problems don't account for massive weight gain the same way PCOS doesn't. 10-15 lbs, yes but above that is attributed to just eating too many calories.
-
The answer is simple. you are not logging and weighing accurately. How do you know how much you're actually consuming? let's say 16 chips is one serving, and if you're weighing it out, 1 oz. well, some chips might be big, some might be small. each chip varies so you don't know how much you're really consuming until you…

I was 32 when I had my ablation. Insurance paid for all of it.
-
I have an ablation too fo AVNRT. It did not work as well as it could have. All the EP doc said he could do was burn enough of my pathway that my hr couldnt go above 280 bpm. He said if I had more ablation I'd end up with a pacemaker. And sometimes ablations take 2-3 rounds. But it's great it worked for you :)
-
I have a MVP, murmur, AVNRT, dysautonomia and ventricular tachycardia and missed beats. So yeah. I still do cardio though because it's really good for the heart. What I do is the recumbent bike. The more I do, the better I feel. I have other non heart related problems as well [hypertension, fibromyalgia, etc] but the worst…
-
Ah yeah, I missed that. Sorry! She also says she has good days and bad days, so I wonder if her bad days undo her hard work.
-
Why are you manually inputting exercise? my fitbit already takes my exercise calories into account if it's cardio except recumbent biking. and if you're relying on labels then that's the problem. you need a food scale and have to weigh everything to get an accurate picture of calorie intake.
-
so....I have this problem and I have dysautonomia. I would def. go see a doctor. The dizziness upon standing is a huge symptom of the disorder You might have a blood pressure problem.
-
I love bread and cheese. I eat it every day. As long as my cals in < cals out, I'll lose weight.
-
Thank you! For me, I had to be awake. My EP told me that it is best to be awake because it is easier to manipulate heart rhythms. I also have an ICM implanted in my chest which is how I know the ablation did not work to eliminate the AVNRT, but it is what it is and I've learned to live with it. I also have a valve issue…
-
thank you, will do.
-
Yes, I do add the biking manually in the fitbit app, because it does not detect recumbent biking. But the steps and the calories from that are automatic as I enabled negative calorie adjustment.

I guess since I've started going the gym, I'm no longer sedentary, ha. Normally I'd be lightly active through the week with sedentary days on the weekends. That obviously has changed...and for the better :) What do you recommend I set my setting to? I'm a stay at home mom so other than going to the gym or taking purposeful…
-
Yeah, been there done that. I asked the anethesiologist to give me as much drugs as possible without me feeling anything. And I didn't until afterward. I had a month of utter faitgue and chest pain. I have AVNRT and unfortunately, it didn't stop it. My doc just burned enough that my hr couldn't go past 280 bpm anymore or…
-
by surgery for a fib, do you mean an ablation? because I had that and it took about a month until I felt well enough to resume all my activities. the ablation was in 2015 and it did not help as much as I thought it would. But sometimes it takes a couple of times. I also started a new routine and have gained a lb since last…

I have IBS, I avoid my trigger foods. No more Doritos, no more really fatty foods like fettucine alfredo. It's not worth the horrendous stomach pain.

I was 24 when I had to start blood pressure pills. But I have a systemic disease so I'll be on them for life. My readings were something like 190/100 pre-medication. And I have to try a bunch of different ones. Ace Inhibitors work the best for me. I also recommend that you limit your salt to 1,500 mg a day. 2,300 is the…

Morbidly obese people lose really quickly at first, you can't say if it is healthy or not unless she's more than a few months out. My friend is crazy tall [6+ feet] and started over 300 lbs and she lost that amount her first month. Her weight loss has slowed down a lot since then and now she's losing at a more normal rate.
-
Im having the same problem. It started today though.
-
My sister had this. She also had to do the diet, as well as use magic mouthwash and take strong anti fungals. The diet is done for a long time, as in months.
-
Weird, when I'm too busy to eat I don't feel anything other than normal, but then again I'm in the overweight range and I don't exercise anymore. Maybe it depends on how much body fat you have? IDK.
-
No, I don't. Bodies are extremely adpatable, especially if you're obese or overweight. To me, undereating for a day or two is not a big deal. Now if you said severely undereating for 3-4 weeks, I'd say yes. Weight loss surgeons have people on 800 calorie diets for MONTHS, if you have the proper amount of vitamins, you're…

if OP isnt losing at the calories she's at now, upping them won't help at all. That's not how CICO works.
