  • Can you do swimming? I get knee pain and when it's bad, I can't run. But swimming is gentle on the joints. There's also rebounders [mini trampolines], which are supposed to be low impact.
  • It's fatlogic because there's no such thing as super slow metabolism from calorie restriction. Your BMR does go down as you lose weight, but that's not the same thing as what you might be thinking of.
  • Some do, some don't. Depends on the vegan. If you're not doing it for ethical purposes then wearing fur or leather I guess is permissible. I can only speak for myself when I say it's not an ethical issue with me. The older I get, the more allergies I seem to have and it sucks. I was born allergic to eggs but the dairy…
  • Nope. Sometimes it's food allergies [if you're vegetarian to begin with] or just a dislike of dairy, or both. I'm eating more and more vegan because dairy bothers my stomach and I have an allergy to eggs and absolutely hate the texture of meat. Now as for meat eaters or non meat eaters, to each their own. Everyone has a…
  • My friend also has a mmj card and she says that it depends on what strain you smoke. According to her, different strains do different things. She's been able to lose weight while smoking/eating edibles. My suggestion: try low thc strains.
  • I can't have either. I'm allergic to eggs. That said, I know Ben and Jerry's recently came out with some vegan flavors. The cookies and peanut butter is very, very good. Since it's expensive, I get it once in a great while.
  • I don't know where you're getting that from. My boyfriend is allergic to nuts and has less problems with allergy attacks than I do. He can eat a slight bit of nuts and have a little reaction. If I eat foods with eggs than it leads to anaphylaxis. My son seems to have inherited my egg allergy. He did not even eat any eggs,…
  • I have to eat vegan desserts because I am allergic to eggs and intolerant to dairy. Too much milk gives me stomach aches and diarrhea. Cheese is ok but not ice cream. My normal eating is egg free, though I can't stand the taste of meat so I am vegetarian.
  • Once a week, but I'm skipping a week because I just got my period and I'm bloated.
  • Yeah but I was talking about common food allergens like eggs, milk and dairy. I know some people are allergic to soy but my point was that sometimes you have to eat vegan due to food allergies. Like, I don't trust anyone with food I haven't made myself anymore due to people saying "oh no it doesn't have eggs", then me…
  • Could it be an electrolyte issue/dehydration? muscle weakness and cramping and diarrhea are symptoms of it.
  • Wow, so many vegan haters. Lucky you guys don't suffer from food allergies.
  • I have reactive hypoglycemia and my doc basically said just don't worry about it. I found out when I had the three hour GTT during pregnancy. My blood sugar went down to 70 but weirdly it doesn't seem to affect me. I don't know if it was temporary or not but I am sorry you have to deal with it.
  • Seriously. You can do regular flour + water + yeast for crust, tomato sauce and either daiya if you want cheese or veggies.
  • I don't care for low carb diets personally, but I'm not going to tell other people how to eat. Lots of people have success with it, just like how people have success with simple CICO.
  • I hate c25k, it's boring. I started with intervals and Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds on Youtube. As I got better, I started progressing to jogging, and worked up from there.
  • Dairy Queen's cheese curds. Same with Buffalo Wild Wings. Luckily, I rarely eat from either place.
  • I'm a stay at home parent, so I basically do my workouts after my son's in home therapy is done for the day.
  • Aldi is like Walmart, but better. It is a great place for basics. Sure you need to put a quarter in the cart and don't use bags, but no biggie. I love the 2 lb, five cheese pizza for $5.
in Aldi? Comment by Colorscheme August 2016
  • The scale isn't good or bad. It is what you make of it :P
  • That's still more than what it costs here per gallon. A gallon of milk, name brand is $4.49. I think I've seen it for $3 something in Aldi, but I live in NY in a metro area so there's a high cost of living in general. Yay Long Island :/
  • It's possible fast food irritates the lining of the intestines in some people and causes someone to have to go, but what comes out is not from the meal, but the food from day before. Caffiene does this to me.
  • Double fry it. Also, McD's use amino acids from meat, aka beef extract to flavor their fries.
  • Milk for $1.25??? it's $3.69 for a gallon of milk where I live. And that's generic. Name brand is almost $5.
  • Can you gain ten pounds in four days? yes. can you gain ten pounds off fat in that time period? no. Just eat like you normally do and the weight will come back off, it's mostly water.
  • Anything I want. Today I had the following: -sesame bagel -whole grain croissant -packet of cheese crackers [Toasty brand] -homemade pizza with mozzarella cheese[made the dough and everything] -Power Crunch peanut butter creme protein bar -one Bj's chocolate chip cookie [which I shouldnt have, only because Im allergic] I'm…
  • Im aiming to be 120 lbs. I have a small frame and look best lean.
  • I think the Fitbit itself is. Because my Fitbit says I burn more exercise cals than MFP. Example: my tdee is 1600, no exercise. Average TDEE is 2200 cals, so if my MFP says I've burned 500 cals from exercise, my Fitbit will tell me it was actually around 600. I think this is because I have neg. calories enabled, so I just…
  • You mean not exercising and eat more than you burn causes weight gain? no way! [jk, I saw the doc]. What I want to know is what Morgan Spurlock thought would happen. Of course super sizing every meal is going to bad news.
  • Nutirionally, nothing. Some people are under the impression that fat from cheese = bad and low fat = good. It's not true, but remember the low fat craze of the 90s?
