132-145lbs - ( I think in kg so I just had to look up what that looks like in lbs). I was origially aiming for 70kg (154 lbs), but now I'm here I want to go a bit lower, so I'll continue to assess as I go. I've started weight training as well so now I want to focus more on shape than weight

This is so true. The best advice I got was from a friend who lost a lot of weight and I just remember, he talked to me about changing the way I eat etc but finished with, 'but you have to want it' And I realised I hadn't. But now I did. That was 23kg ago :-)

I think this sounds like a great idea. Exercise really helps with my anxiety and depression. I’m not very familiar with the groups on here and can’t find it – is it possible to post a link?

Wow this thread is really interesting and useful. I’m having similar issues myself – partner says he wants to lose weight but does nothing about it. It’s getting incredibly frustrating. Main things that made a difference were using a really good non-stick frying pan and a decent spatula. So heat your oil - I put in a few drops and wipe it around /off with kitchen roll so it just greases the pan. While…

Thank you all for the really useful replies - I'll change what I'm doing so I'm using that time to lift weights raher than cardio. They also do some half hour classes over lunch so I will see what they are like as well.

I quite often make a low-cal /carb galette the night before (one egg, 2tbsps oat bran, one tbsp quark, beaten and fried) and eat that with a boiled egg or some cottage cheese. Other options include slices of smoked salmon wrapped round cottage cheese; porridge made with light soy milk; Smoked mackerel. These are all things…
