I have 170 to lose which I'm taking a pound at a time. It's all about baby steps for me. We can do this.

I would check with the trainer.

I'm 58 and have 150+ to lose. Just concentrating on clean eating and building up my strength. Baby steps. To add someone click on username, next screen click username again then click on icon for adding someone.

I'll do Greek plain yogurt, milk and whatever fruit I have available and add 1T of ground flax seed.

I was a WW member many times and had my best success on their selection plan. I needed to learn how to eat. I like MFP because the online database works well, the WW online website often has problems which don't seem to get addressed timely. I'd like to create a good online support system here too.

When I want to cheat I TRY to think about the rotten energy I will get from the bad foods. Doesn't always keep me from not eating them, but it's a work in progress. I started by doing Leslie Sansone you tube videos to get my steps in when I can't get outside. Just tonight I "walked" a couple hundred steps making dinner.

I could not have said it better. Good luck on your journey.

Congratulations. I can't wait to see the scale and measuring tape change numbers.

I fill a gallon plastic jug each night and put it in the fridge. I fill a large cup and drink only from it. I love water and have stopped drinking soda.

I am in the same boat as you LADragonfly, only I'm 57 with 180 pounds to lose. I'm only about 1 week into using MFP faithfully and the scale is finally moving down instead of always UP. I am new to this forum also and hope to get inspired and motivated.

I have a Fitbit One and sync it to MFP. Like _runnerbean_ I use Leslie Sansone YouTube videos. I am in Wisconsin and when it is icey out I am afraid to walk with any speed. I try and just walk in place whenever...using Leslie's 4 basic steps. I've been increasing my steps everyday.

What a great group! I'm 57, married female and have (holy moly) 280# to lose. Count me in. I am tired of observing life; it's time to participate.

Greetings all. I am new to MFP and am slowly learning the ropes. I weight 350 and would like to get down to 170. I am 57 years old and YES it is insanely hard to lose weight as you age. I look forward to getting to know you.
