honestly I don't think its a thing. I eat between 600 and 1000 calories a day before exercise and I have not hit this "starvation mode" syndrome.

Exactly the way I look at it. Jeff brought me an icecream from the corner store. he saw them and thought of me. Was very sweet. I just altered the rest of my day a little so he and I could sit on the porch and enjoy our treat.

I don't eat back my exercise calories first and foremost. why wash your sheets just to throw them in the mud. Second there are all kinds of healthy foods that high in calories. my favorite is avocado. milk is another great one. Then if you still feel 1800 is too much then cut it back some.

I don't agree with it. I think its a complete lazy copout. It shouldn't even be done. Only 5% of the surgeries are successful long term anyhow. so really its an irresponsible allocation of healthcare funds.

I personally feel its better to cultivate self control. IT CAN BE DONE. avoiding trigger foods teaches you nothing for the long term and makes it hard to enjoy those foods without completely blowing it when you do get to indulge a little. I like tilapia. you can bake it, fry it, steam it or poach it. doesn't matter how you make it because it always taste great. Its cost effective in the large bags of frozen filets. easy to prepare because they are individually wrapped and take less than 30 minutes to thaw. takes me about 5 to 10 minutes in the sink
