Thanks Ichell, I will take a look. I'm wondering, can I reset my metabolism without eating meat? At my age, I'm dealing with hormonal shifts and a "slow" thyroid. My field of food choices has narrowed considerably through the years. I can not eat soy or gluten products. I don't like being limited in my choices, but that's…

I just noticed, I am your 888th post! I will look at that as a good omen! I got up late this morning, so I'm not getting my calories today. Thanks for the sensible suggestion. I do want to stay sane with this, because I'm determined it's going to work for me.

Oh, BTW, thanks for the welcome to the group.

There are waaay too many people, and opinions on the internet telling people and what to do. I am so confused about macros. Regardless, I'm upping my calories today and just going to stay on the lower side of carbs until I get a handle on this.

This is great info. Do you know, is there a video, or a link that discusses the proper way to balance the macronutrients and the different food choices foe EM2WL like Ketogenic versus Zone versus Paleo, or even Vegan...? I would like to eventually go Vegan, but right now I have been exploring Ketogenic and Paleo food…

I'm starting off. I went to the weight loss calculator, do I start with my TDEE? Also, will the metabolic reset guide tell me when and how to adjust the calories I'm taking in, or is there another article that has more detailed info? Thanks

Hi, I'm CSO. I'm 5'6", 222 lbs, middle aged, menopausal woman. My ultimate goal weight is 135, but more importantly my body fat goal is 15-18 percent. I've not been very kind to myself as far as a commitment to a food plan. I know what works for me, but I allow myself to be swayed off, mostly emotional reasons. I'm hoping…

Mostly walking right now, but slower than I normally do. I enjoy walking fast, but I seem to be experiencing the detox mode. My energy levels will be up, then down, so I'm just taking it easy for now. I love to swim when I get the opportunity and stairs. Yup, I think the Stair Master is the bomb! :D

I start the day off with 1-2 cups of plain hot water, then throughout the day I drink mostly Ice water from a large 32 oz cup. I like herb teas also.

I think, I've gotten good at dropping a subject when I know the info that I just shared fell on deaf ears. All we can do is plant a seed and then give them time to chew on it for awhile. Sometimes people are holding on to too much junk to hear an "alternate" way. On old way of thinking may be a whole lot safer than a new…

Welcome, you're out of the closet now! :p

I haven't looked yet, but this "smelly stuff" is sounding more interesting. Ha! Ha!

This is my first week back to MFP. I actually started logging my food on Wednesday this week. This past wkend, I weighed 222 and feeling very bloated. Yuk! I started cutting back without logging my food and dropped to 220 on Tuesday and Wed. Thursday morning, I weighed 218 and this morning is 215! I'm sure a lot of the…

Ok, thanks, I'll check it out.

I want to give everyone a "thumbs up", but I don't see an option for that. We must continue to have compassion for the unenlightened ones, Ha! Ha!.... Do I really have to?
-
Thanks! I'll see if I can find them locally.

I know, people just run off at the mouth and all they are doing is repeating stuff that has been handed to them. It's all fear based. Have they ever considered that that might not be the truth of who they are? Wow, I need to stop here 'cause this could turn into a big philosophical discussion. Yup, sometimes I want to…

What are Shirataki noddles and where can I find them?

MCT oil and grass fed Butter! I had no idea that I was so deficient in fat consumption, the right kind, anyway. I also have a stevia plant growing in the garden that I will be using for those, " give me something sweet NOW moments!"

Ditto, where are we posting for weight?

Hi Everyone, My name is Carolyn. I'm glad to see this group here. I've been playing with the idea of going keto for several months. I've done a lot of reading and it seems like it's the most logical approach for a healthy functioning body. I have to admit my biggest challenge right now is getting off sugars, mostly…
