Tracker is better here. Support/community much better there. I'm tracking with both at the moment.

I'm about 40 pounds down and have 2 pairs of work pants that are ok. Everything else is way baggy. I still have a long way to go, but I'm going to shop next month to get me through the fall. I don't care if I only have a few outfits that I can wear; I'm not spending a lot of money until my weight stabilizes.
-
When that happens (usually because of some personal or work crisis), I'm generally very hungry the next day and naturally eat more. It's not something I consciously have to do.
-
Welcome! You are in a great place. Spend plenty of time reading - what you eat is just as important as how much you eat. Here's to good health!

We have a salad bar at work which is my go-to every day. Haven't decided if my protein will be chicken, tuna, or tofu.
-
I feel better (physically and mentally) when I limit my carbs, so I try to keep them under 100 a day.
-
Hello fellow big gals and guys. I'm in the same boat. Please feel free to add me.

Build it in. The McDonald's Filet o' Fish commercials got me during lent and I ate a couple of them during the season. (390 calories, btw). I just planned my food day around that craving. It's ok to crave a food and eat it. It's probably not ok to get the 10 pack of tacos and down it yourself in one sitting. Find a happy…

Guacamole from a spoon.

Hi Brenda. I'll be a supportive friend! I've lost 90+ pounds twice (I know) and am on my way again. This time, I'm working more on my mind - losing weight is relatively easy once you get into the groove, but it is so easy to regain it if your focus shifts or your emotions don't cooperate. I'm 48, have lost 24 pounds this…

I was at 1200 for 3 or 4 months. At first it wasn't difficult because I was very motivated, but after a while the newness wore off and I found myself getting hungrier. I've bumped up to 1350 for the last few months and find that level very easy to feel satisfied at.

I'm plenty hydrated and I typically go before I leave home, once sometime late morning and once during the mid afternoon. I drink 2 cups of coffee at home, pee, go to work and drink 2 cups of tea in the morning, pee, have lunch and one 16 oz drink, pee, have another cup of tea later in the day, and go after I get home. You…

I haven't had surgery but wanted to commend you for getting back on track! I hope you and Kathy are the support each other needs and I know you'll find loads of support here on MFP. :)

I'll be 47 next month and have 30-35 (maybe 40, we'll see) more pounds to go. I love new friends!
-
It definitely doesn't fill me up, but all of the hydration makes me feel better and studies have shown that tea (especially green) is good for you in a myriad of ways. My 2 daily cups of green tea might buy me a few days (or weeks or months) at the end of my life. Plus, I like the meditative peace that a good cup of tea…

I eat back half of them and lose more when I do that than when I don't.

I have the kind of lips people pay for. Felt like a clown when I was a kid but as an adult they are great! I also have pretty hands and really strong legs.
-
All things in moderation. I used to drink a couple of Diet Cokes a day. Now I might have one a week. Once I got used to water, soda started to seem harsh. I drink more iced tea than I used to.

It's the energy! I didn't realize how tired I used to be until I lost weight.
-
My eating was very mindless. I love food - there's no getting around that - and I chose what tasted good and filled me up. I didn't give much thought to calories and as a result ended up fat. The hardest thing now is not the food choices, it's never eating until I reach that satisfied, full feeling. I wonder if I'll ever…

My family was at Disney World. We had a great trip, but I was utterly exhausted and towards the end of the week I knew I couldn't continue on with how I was living. For me, weight loss is for health more than anything else.
-
I cringe a lot at the calorie burns some people claim - it often seems like 2 or 3 times the actual burn. Make sure to weigh and measure your food, don't just eyeball it, and eat back only half of the calories you think you burned.
-
You look fantastic! Good going!
-
Being honest, I weigh every day too but I only record once or twice a week. I don't get upset by the little fluctuations though. Because you do, try to weigh twice a week at most and once would be better if you can manage it.
-
Pretty much never, though I used to love Filet o' Fish sandwiches. I probably haven't been to McDonalds in a year or so. My son has Celiac Disease and it limits where we can go. Fast food became mostly a no no.
-
I haven't given anything up completely, but I love any kind of Asian food and I miss eating lots of rice with it.
-
About $200, only because I'm wearing my vivofit.

Yep, it's your period! Don't freak out too much, although I know that's awfully hard to do. I have gone over my calories once in something like 160 days. I didn't gain that week. I gain every time I drink alcohol (which is rarely). I give out a little scream and then know that the gain isn't real and will resolve itself.…

The psychological part of food/diet/weight loss is so much harder than the physical part. Have you been on plan long? When I was starting, I was obsessed with food and what I was or wasn't eating and it was hard to get into a groove. Make sure you eat enough, even when you don't feel like it. You don't want to screw up…

Friends are always welcome! My streak is 150-ish. I'm always here. :)
