Ahh the great CiCo debate-- Let me share my experience. I've been tracking for a good long while now. I've tracked on low fat high carb diets, I've tracked on middle of the road diets, I've tracked on Keto. I lose weight faster when I'm on a ketogenic diet. Even when consuming the same number of calories per day. It really…

My personal favorite is my modified stroganoff: 2lbs 73% ground beef 4oz cream cheese About 4 dollops of sour cream (full fat of course) Garlic Salt to taste. Can serve stuffed in a tomato or green pepper... or just as it is.

Feel free to friend me. I'm not really an Atkins purist.... as I don't go high fat either... but I do keep my carbs low and natural and I eat a good bit of healthy protein.

This is why I lean more towards the keto approach in my case. I've found that if I eat 1000-1200 calories of low fat, "typical" carb diet, I tend to be a bit more hungry and lose less weight than when I do 1000-1200 calories of high fat/protein/ low carb dieting. But I don't believe in pushing it as the only way.. because…

If you have a person with any type of metabolic resistance, in general the low carb approach will work better, due to the hormonal triggers of a low carb/higher fat diet. A person with no issues with resistance could lose close to the same amount of weight regardless of diet type as long as there is a caloric deficit. Age…

The American Heart Association makes millions by licensing out their "Heart Healthy" label. They aren't about the jeopardize the monetary value of pushing whole grains over healthy fats.

Both work-- but for some, one will work better than the other. I've done 1000-1200 calories with low fat high carb.. and I've done it with high fat low carb. I lose much faster personally on low carb, most likely due to some metabolic resistance due to all my years of not having the best diet ever.

I keep my protein high, my fat on target or a few points over, and my carbs are WAY below what MFP wants for me. I eat a ton of chicken and veggies and a little fruit here and there. About once every 6-8 weeks I will have a binge day where I eat whatever the heck I wanna eat. But my gastro issues have pretty much…

I'm currently pretty low... around 35g per day. For me.. I have digestive issues with pastas and rices so I avoid all of those. Plus, I find the fewer carbs I eat, the better my cravings are. I do go up as high as 50 on the days that I choose to eat fruit. It isn't great for everyone and not everyone would benefit nor even…
