@jcavanna2 my surgeons office set my goal at 148 and my personal goal is 145. I have been sruck at 160-163 for the past several weeks, but I'm trying to remind myself how far I've come and it has only been 5 1/2 mobths since I had surgery.
-
@jcavanna2 what is your goal weight? I think we have pretty similar stats. I'm 40, 5'4.5" HW 241, SW 217, CW 160, GW 145. I've been stuck between 160 and 163 now for about 3 weeks. I think our one difference is I had VSG and my surgery was 10/5/16.

I am only 5 months out from surgery and have not experienced what you are going through, but I wanted you to know there are people here for support.

I have not one regret. I am only 5 1/5 months out, even through the tough parts I would do this all over again in a second!

I have been in a stall now for 3 weeks. Ever since I started a running clinic I can not manage to lose weight. I am eating the same amount of calories and types food that I was before and I was consistantly losing 1- 2 lbs per week and now nothing. Ughhhhhhh
-
Glad to hear you are doing well.

I've had a mirena for about 8 years (on my second one) and I really like it. Mine is really for birth control purposes, but I don't really have my monthly cycle and no cramps. My husband says I still get an attitude...lol
-
I had VSG 10/5/16 feel free to add me.
-
I haven't tried that one so I'm not sure I would be the best one to answer that question, but great job for doing it!
-
I heat my premier protein shake and add coffee just like a latte, but with 30 G protein. Just don't boil them.
-
Good luck!
-
I really like it!

I am also experiencing a stall right now and am trying to remeber how far I have come. Stick with it. My mindset is that this is a marathon not a sprint! I have to admit it is great being able to hear that we are not alone in some of the struggles we all face.
-
I aim for 60g and above. I drink a premier protein shake almost every morning. That really seems to kick off my day right and I'm then already half way to my protein goal.

Sleeved 10/5/2016

I still have issues woth eggs for some reason and I'm 5 months out. I agree with @jvavanna2 try to eat slower and make sure your food is really pured. It does get better.

When I get to goal my husband is buying me a new wedding ring! Bring on the bling!

Feel free to add me. I was sleeved 10/5/2016

@ChinnytoSkinny welcome to the group. I was sleeved 10/5/16.
-
Good Luck!

I was only able to drink about an ounce at a time after surgery howevet I was allowed protein shakes right after surgery. I was also allowed sugar free jello but I did not tollerate it well. I had soups as well like chicken broth, squash, and tomato. I added nonflavored protein powder to my soups to get my protein in.

Just remeber this is worth it. I know it is frustrating, but just keep at it. It is good practice before surgery. We are here to help with support.

Mine are set at 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fat. I did make sure based on that that my protein grams were above 60 and I try to keep my carbs at 80g.
-
I wasn't required to do that so I am no help.
-
Yeahooo! Congrats.
-
@loveshoe thank you for the input. Do you recommend one of the books over the other or are they both worth purchasing?
-
I find some days are better than others. I know my problem is head hunger. I am going to have to get past that. Can anyone recommend a good book to read regarding this?
