I agree with the otheres -- if you're hungry eat, if not don't. I used to not be hungry at all for breakfast and if I ate, I'd feel sick most of the morning. I've never had a stable lunch availability with my job (many times required a working lunch). That meant I was leaving most of my calories for dinner and by dinner I…

The first few days of cutting out high sugar foods is the hardest. Using my experience and experiences of close friends, the best advice I have is cold turkey for a week. By 3-4 days, the worst of cravings is usually over (from the experience of 7 of us), and by the end of the week you're brain and body feel so much better…

If you're bored with this, you'll be bored with the others. All are repetitive, by day, workouts. Try swapping out for something you like. Stick with the program for 3-4 days using the workouts you do like, and add something else for the days that you're really bored with. I get bored with them too. But I've tried a lot of…

This. If I feel a potential crash time coming on (extra stress or whatever) then I prelog foods to see exactly where I can eat a little extra sugar or carbs and not completely undo a week's worth of work. I don't always get cravings but if it seems to be a bad day for them I'll just up my calories for the day and make sure…

The best way I've found is through yoga. I go to a martial arts gym and yoga is required (in a sense) for all participants. Especially fighters because it trains control and movement of the core. Which is what your looking for. Start off with simple moves and advance as you feel comfortable

First advice, write down somewhere what exactly it is that you want (besides dropping pounds). Do you feel like crap and want your body respond to food better? Do you want to fit in an old dress? Go on a cruise? Make sticky notes of things that you want from this lifestyle change and hang them around your house so that…

Use rest days to actively rest. Don't fall into the "oh it's sunday I can sit on my butt all day and munch" habit (like I'm guilty of) Rest days are important but still go for a 10 minute stroll or meditate or a nice stretching activity. Do something. It keeps your mind in the game for the next day of workouts.

This happened to me the last couple of days. I'm on day 9 of 21DF nutrition and working out twice a day. Turns out mother nature wanted to kick in a full week and a half early! I'm 99% sure it's exercise induced TOM. I'm also on BC so it's really unexpected for me. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Right! I won't say that I haven't had close moments to giving in. When I'm working at the office there are always generous people bringing home baked and bakery goods in! Hard to say no to that! But it's much easier to say no when I know I'm satisfied and not starving while drooling over donuts or something. That's been my…

:D :D Hey, no judgement. Whatever works

I don't go hungry. Even if I've hit my 1800 goal (notice I say goal, not limit). What I don't do is necessarily reach for the starchy food that you inevitably want when you're hungry. I reach for the colorful food. It fills you up quicker and gives a little more bang for the buck. Now if you're absolutely needing quick…

This may have already been said, or worded in a different way. I track how many of each color I'm adding together (actually using the tupperware as measuring devices) and then just divide by whatever I want a serving to be. Say I add 6 greens, 3 reds, 1 blue, 1 purple. Make up the meal and call it 2 servings - each a 3G,…

I actually thought about it too. But I'm also someone who would rather have the actual thing. It's a mental thing for me more than anything. I'd feel like I was missing out on some big thing if I didn't...you know, FOMO ;)

@Katiebear_81 haha yes, fitness is like religion and politics. I don't mention it unless it's brought up first and even then I answer without giving a real answer to what I believe.

I started the 21DFX nutrition plan on the 18th and incorporated Les Mills Combat and a couple of the 21DFX workouts for 5 days. Then I started with a challenge group on the 22nd and have completed 1 week of clean eating with some kind of exercise. I'm down 2-3 lbs (178-175.6) and know I've lost inches because clothes fit a…

I took the bait the other day. Mostly because it was several people "ganging up" on a newbie thread. Whether it's in jest on their part or not, why discourage someone who's barely started?! I just wanted to make sure the person knew that they weren't "stupid" for buying the program. But yes, there are a lot of trolls out…

It's not about finding a quick "fix". It's about finding what works right for each of us. Some of us need a little extra spoon feeding "eat this container 3 times a day and do this exercise." Could I save the $120 and buy Tupperware, color the 5 colors, and watch my calories? Yes. I've done that. It works. But maybe I'm…

I'm starting extreme with a challenge group tomorrow! I'm pretty excited to get past this plateau I'm in (which I know is because of too many poor nutrition choices). If anyone would like a challenge buddy, feel free to add. I'm also using Jawbone

I need to lose 30, if you'd like to buddy up :)

I'm starting 21DFX on Monday if you'd like to buddy up

I'm at 30 as well. If you'd like to add me we can power through these lbs together :)

I'd stick it out another week at least before modifying too much. If you're new to your current regimine it takes time for the body to adjust. It will lose and gain a lot of water weight on a daily basis for first few weeks as your body figures out what it's actually meant to do with glycogen stores -- which hold/release…

A good food processor is next on my list. Id like to make more healthy sauces

for a salty snack, tomato slices with seasoning of choice, basil and feta. Maybe a drizzle of olive oil if I need to boost some fat intake or keep seasoning in place. For a sweet snack, cinnamon/sugar popcorn homemade

8 oz is half a pound (16 oz is a lb). I'd suggest getting a food scale because that is more accurate than using fluid measurements for solids. Yes, 8 oz = 1 cup = a portion that fits in a cup...if you want to think of it in LOOSE/INACCURATE TERMS. Think of it this way...if you really tried, you could fit more than "8 oz or…

I turned my negative off because I had the same issue with it not being reliable between the two. I mainly use my UP for reminders and as activity tracker (surprise!) and log MFP completely separate. I'm more concerned with calories so I want to make sure there's not confusion between the two programs

Just as an update for anyone wondering, I just got confirmation that it's another 8-10 weeks before UP3 shipments...and that's if they don't push it back another 8-10 wks
