Find a scale that weighs in grams, pounds as well as ounces. If you look at nutrition labels, they list grams as well as volume for serving sizes. Then, when practicable, weigh them on the scale. This will be more accurate than measuring cups.

About three years ago, I was doing mostly about 1200 - 1350 calories. I lost 61 pounds at about a pound and a half a week doing a weekly cheat day. Just make sure you log it and don't go over maintenance calories for the day.

When I first started, it took about three weeks for it to show on the scale, then there was about a four-pound drop. So things are probably happening, but your body is keeping it a secret for now. Patience is your friend. Good luck.
-
Fiber and protein are your friends. Also, try drinking two 8 oz. glasses of water about 20 - 30 minutes before you eat, seems to help me feel a little less hungry when I sit down to eat.
-
Without logging, It's too easy to forget something you ate and then blow the day. Same thing with measuring and weighing. What looks like a tablespoon may actually be a teaspoon or a tablespoon and a half. Also, you see things differently each day. What you guestimate one day, may not be the same the next day.
-
Yes, it's a boring routine, but I have to log. After being in maintenance for a while, I stopped logging and the pounds slowly crept back up. I didn't actually notice it until my clothes started to feel a little snug.

La Dolce Vita Biscotti and coffee. I know, I know... but there was room for it in my macros! Well, most of it anyway.
-
This really is a good tool. I lost 44 pounds here about three years ago.
-
I gotta stop fooling around and do this. I need to dump about 40 pounds. If anyone wants to add me, please look at my profile first.
-
You can add me if you like. Please look at my profile first though.

From what I read, I don't see it working for me either as week one doesn't have you counting calories and stating you can eat all the fruit and vegetables you want. Howsomever, I suppose it could work for some people.
-
Me too. Real surprised at some of them. I thought the Mediterranean Diet would have been #I. I really wish I could have followed the link to see who the "experts" are.

I'm in the same boat. You can add me if you like.

Don't beat yourself up; it only makes things worse. Just start all over again. That's what I'm doing. Eight pounds is better than 10 or 15.
-
Gained too much back the last couple of years, so I'm in!
-
Yep, me too. I lost 61 pounds about three years ago, fell off the maintenance wagon and slowly let a lot of it creep back up on me. I miss being down, so it's gotta go!
-
I confess...I'm a pre-logger. It's the only way I can be sure I get all of my calories without going over. Too often, in the past, I've found myself at dinner time without very many calories left to spend.
-
I lost 61 pounds (First time around) doing cheat days once a week. Just make sure you don't go over what would be your maintenance calories for the day.

For me, just staying really busy so my mind is otherwise occupied works the best. Exercise, water, coffee, tea and/or crystal lite to name a few others.
