  • Hi Nikki, well done for quitting the smoking. Best of luck in achieving your next goal. You will smash it.
  • Yeah, your stomach might have shrunk a bit and that's why you might have lost your appetite slightly. If you are still in the early stages of trying to loose weight then this is probably better than feeling starving and deprived. Just eat when your hungry and try to get as close to your daily calorie/macro goals as you can…
  • He might just be saying after the gym "I'm going to quickly go to the Drive Thru and grab a burger, do you want anything?", unless I have missed a post saying otherwise?
  • Good info mate. Much appreciated.
  • The bolded line is very funny out of context. I completely agree with your post though.
  • lol. The thing is that they might have different goals in the gym too. I completely understand that if the OP is in the gym doing cardio then going to KFC or Burger King straight afterward will probably just cancel out the hour or so of exercise she has just done (in terms of eating back the calories burned). However, if…
  • That's pretty brutal. The man only wants a Burger King every now and then after a workout. :)
  • I'm sure it will sort itself out. I understand the situation from both sides and neither of you are doing anything wrong or being purposely out of order to each other. I'm sure that you will probably settle into a more balanced lifestyle once you have reached your goals and will not be as strict/limiting on yourself. You…
  • That would be cool though. I could hoover up the Dorito's crumbs all over my chest while I was at it.
  • To be fair, stomach vacuuming is a legit exercise/technique that some people do for abs. It's not a type of surgery or anything like some people think.
  • loosing weight does not have to be like that. There are much easier ways of being in a calorie deficit that allows you to still enjoy the foods you love. Exercise is not really needed for weight loss either, it just aids the process of creating a deficit.
  • Try sit ups in the kitchen.
  • Have cheat days or cheat meals and carb up for your sanity. I find it pretty easy keeping my carbs and fats quite low and protein high. But occasionally I just crave carbs (strange things like huge bowls of pasta) and I just listen to my body and have them. I'm back on track straight after so no harm done.
  • I know what you mean about "clean" eating being expensive. My diet of Lobster and Oysters is hitting me hard in the pocket.
  • If you are having trouble stimulating your appetite try exercise (as the other poster said), or watching food challenges or cooking channels on Youtube. After an episode of Man V Food I'm starving.
  • Don't worry about it. I eat 3000 calories a day minimum and yesterday only ate about 2000. Just circumstances and not feeling hungry. I'm back on track today. In the grand scheme of things it does not matter. What is worrying is how hard you are having to push yourself to reach what is quite a small calorie goal. If you…
  • Maybe he did not want to be shallow and judge on first impressions and wanted to get to know her more as a person before deciding. Why is it stringing her along, they were dating to see if they were suitable for each other to take the next step. Both parties were involved in the dating process and it sounds like they had a…
  • Ha! Exactly. Nothing would motivate me more to go to the gym than a load of girls in the weight room. It's a win win for everybody. :)
  • At least he was honest with you and saved you finding out he was not compatible in the long run. He obviously has his views/opinions on what he's looking for in a partner and expressed them to you. Sorry it did not work out and I'm sure you will find somebody more compatible.
  • Slow bulk for two-three years adding between 20-30lbs of muscle (with newbie gains). In that time you might add about 15lbs of fat which will still look fine because of the muscle gains (You will be looking noticeably different/better after a year). Then go on a 12-16 week cut and looked ripped. Enjoy.
  • I use Bluetooth head phones by Kinivo. Really cheap on Amazon, sounds really good (drowns out the music in the gym) and charge lasts for months. Quite small so you don't look like to much of a dick wearing them.
  • I think the average idiots opinion on woman weight lifters is based on the competition ready, oiled up, brown tan and sometimes steroid using woman that you see on muscle magazines and bodybuilding shows. Even those girls don't look like that all year around and have dedicated a huge amount of time and effort for that one…
  • You look great. I wish more ladies would lift weights too. My gym comprises of all the cardio machines taken up by woman listening to IPods and staring at a blank wall as they step or run and loads of blokes lifting weights over the other side of the room. Hardly ever does anyone move out of their territory lol. It would…
  • My IPhone tracks my steps. I've just got back from a ten day holiday and I walked 20K steps a day. Now I'm back in the UK I'm lucky if I walk 6K a day. I really need to walk more.
  • I meant most pre workout are mostly comprised of caffine. I have tried some pre workouts and they just made me sweat loads in the gym and a bit jittery and anxious afterwards. I also felt noticeably tired/sleepy afterwards. I just crawl to the gym on an empty stomach nowadays.
  • I train fasted too. I've used BCAA's once before (for one month) and did not really notice anything. They are quite useful for maintaining muscle during cutting (lifting whilst in a deficit) or cardio so they might be of some use to you. I didn't notice that they made me stronger or more energised during my workout though.…
  • I like Aldi. It's not the best shopping experience (food is stocked a bit like a warehouse), but the quality and prices are great. The Germans know what their doing.
  • Quaker instant oats with water and a scoop of Vanilla protein powder. Maybe Blueberries if I have some knocking about. I still cant tell if I like oats/porridge or not. I never really look forward to it.
  • Hi and welcome. Best of luck on your weight loss journey. I'm sure if that you can learn as much as you can about nutrition/exercise and apply it you will achieve your goals.
  • Could go either way, but I'm going to go with nice?
