At my gym the weights section is a bloody sausage fest. Depressing looking at blokes. I would love there to be more girls lifting instead of on the cardio machines facing the wall for an hour. My gym is like a bloody school disco. All of the men in one corner lifting weights and all of the girls over the other end doing…

Think about it. 1Lbs of fat is 3500 calories. You have to eat 500 calories a day over maintenance for a week to put on 1LBS. Unless you ate massively over your TDEE for two days its unlikely that you gained much actual fat (despite what the scale is saying). It's all just water weight. It will regulate itself over the next…

I just noticed that you said you had the protein shake a few hours before exercise. That should be fine, so the ill effects you felt are quite unusual. Maybe you just had a bad day at the gym.

Try having your protein shake after exercise. This will have no baring on weight loss or muscle gain etc (meal timing does not matter), but it might simply feel more comfortable to exercise without a milkshake swooshing around in you. Maybe eat a small amount of "proper food" before exercise if your hungry or feel you need…

200lbs, 6ft, 15% bodyfat (I think). I've been slow bulking for two years and lifting 4-5 times a week. I've put on 30lbs and roughly maintained my body fat eating between 3000-3500 calories a day (180-200g protein). Will maintain for a while before starting my first cut.

You will only burn fat in a calorific deficit. These pills will just jack your heart rate up.

I lift at home and at a gym. Lifting at home is convienient if I get home from work late and cant be arsed to sit in traffic. I just play my music really loud and do a dumbbell routine (Bench press, Overhead press, curls, Tricep extensions, rows). It takes about an hour. I find that I have a better workout at the gym…

I pis# like a camel, but that's probably because I easily drink over a gallon of water a day. It is also rainbow coloured because of them vitamins. Its actually quite beautiful when the light hits it. True story.

Hi mate, brilliant job on the weight loss. As you know your calories are pretty low for now but as you get closer to your goal weight I'm sure you will find a happy balance to maintain maintenance. Yeah, you should build the energy drink into your calorie allowance for the day and you should also be aware of the calorie…

Welcome mate. good luck.

Nice?

Cheeky smile, shiny hair.

It wont make you get fat as there are little to no calories in creatine. However, you will put on water weight (Some people can put on as much as 15lbs) which will obviously show on the scale. If you stop creatine this water weight will then go. Some people are "non responders" to creatine so its pretty much useless for…

Protein from the chicken and the Spinach, micro vitamins, anti oxidents from the veg and healthy fats from the oil. Everything has to be seen in context with the overall numbers at the end of the day (IIFYM).

It sounds like your trying to accomplish to many things at once. Cardio and diet will be great for burning fat and you could incorporate weights on separate days or before cardio. The best way to maintain the muscle you already have and loose fat is to lift heavy (compound movements with good form. Not while your riding a…

Yeah, Greek Yogurt and protein powder is great. I just empty the yogurt out of its container in to a bowl and mix 20g of chocolate protein powder with a spoon for about twenty seconds and it almost tastes like a light chocolate mousse. It takes seconds to eat before the gym and is really light on your stomach. Low cal,…

I respect anybody who wants to be a Trans guy. It takes balls. ;)

I train fasted of a morning and just have a protein shake when I've finished to break my fast. I then eat a meal when I feel hungry. Sometimes I'll have a black coffee before the gym to get me going but this does not break my fast. If you do wish to eat before exercise play around with different foods you like that are…

Its personal preference and does not make much of a difference in terms of weight loss etc. Some people like to fuel there workouts by eating beforehand and others like my self like to train fasted and eat after the gym. Its the overall numbers at the end of the day that matter. The best method is what suits your lifestyle…

Yeah, I mix it with mustard too. It takes the edge of the fishy taste/smell.

With muscle maturity (working out for a long time) you can still have a fair bit of body fat and have six pack abs showing through. This will obviously look more defined as the fat is cut. When I'm bulking I can have a bit of a belly on me but if tensed the abs can still be clearly seen underneath.

Hi, I sometimes buy just egg whites in a carton to save on waste. When using eggs I usually make scrambled eggs with four egg whites and two whole eggs. I always feel terribly guilty about throwing the yolks away though.

Eat in a calorie deficit, 250-500 calories below your TDEE. Move around more. Walking is great. Make a conscious effort to go for walks everyday and keep yourself moving. You will see initial results from this and that will eventually motivate you to keep going and consider adding more strenuous exercise or a form of…

If your in a calorie deficit you will loose weight (exercise or not). Running is great for cardiovascular (heart) health and is a great way to give you more calories to eat if your diet is to restrictive. However, you cant outrun a bad diet. I used to run ten miles a day, 1100 extra calories burned. But I just used this as…

Watch all of the Rocky films back to back (except Rocky V because it's sh%t). This will take a day so you wont have time to exercise that day. But you will train like a champion from that day forth.

I eat between 150-180g of protein per day. I do have a protein shake (40g) to help me reach this goal though. I'm pretty consistent at hitting this target (even on rest days). Usually I find this quite easy as I enjoy eating meat and diary products, however every now and then I crave all carb meals/days so I just try to…

I just grill chicken breasts on the George Foreman grill and cover them in seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder etc). Done in minutes and a lot of the fat drains away.

Full admiration for people who can just get up and hit the gym that early. It would never work for me. It would make me resent exercise because it impacts on my previous evening (early night) and my morning where I'm happy to be a zombie for the first few hours. I've done it on holiday though and surprisingly enjoyed it.
