  • Oh, forgot to mention. It mixes really well with Pasta. I use Tuna, sweetcorn and red or green pesto. Low cal, high protein and carbs from pasta.
  • I make tinned Tuna Sandwiches, Toasties (with melted cheese and Ketchup). Baked/sweet Potato Topping. It mixes well with Mayonaise, Mustard (takes the fishy taste away) or cream cheese. Or I sometimes just eat it straight out of the can. That's just how I roll. Loads of protein, good fat, low calorie and as much Mercury…
  • A day over here and a day under there will not make or break anything. The bigger picture should be to lead a healthier, sustainable diet that helps you reach your goal. Think more long term about the bigger picture. Even on a short term basis, look at your overall numbers (macros/cals) for the end of the week rather than…
  • I suppose they work well for bodyweight exercise in the same way Calisthenics does. A good routine will probably also have cardio benefits. Great for functional exercise and core strength.
  • I don't record or log food/calories/Macros (except in my head). This has helped me learn about nutrition and I just glance at the values on the back of packets etc. A cheat day for me might be that I've not hit my protein goals and induldged in to many carbs. I'm always usually around maintenance at the worst. Strangely, I…
  • I watched a documentary where it was implied that some/lots of Personal Trainers supplement their income with Stripping or even porn lol! Any truth in this people? C'mon tell the truth?
  • Yeah, they are probably fine. The low/zero calorie ones are useful before workouts etc for Caffeine but they obviously replace the sugar with loads of chemicals. I don't drink them or coffee, but tried a Monster Zero this week. I think they could potentially be quite addictive to the point some people feel they cant work…
  • Friend. I eat normal (white) Potato's and Sweet potato's with (tinned) Tuna and grated cheese on top for protein. Baked Beans and cottage cheese is great too for added protein.
  • Just found this thread. Best thread ever. Thank you ladies. And thank god.
  • Kenny G never recovered from "Sax" crime allegations. Saxual assault to the ears if you will. (cough!)
  • Watch all of the Rocky movies back to back. You can skip Rocky V if you wish as its shyte.
  • I like to do knitting on my rest day and then maybe take a bath with some scented candles and throw on a bit of Kenny G. :)
  • I would recommend a slow bulk. It's easier to adjust along the way and easier to handle Psychologically over gaining weight fast.
  • True. However the problem with free weights is that the form police can sometimes scrutinise you where as the machines are often pretty self explanatory and sometimes even have little diagrams on to show you how to perform the movement. It's hard to go wrong on most machines. Everybody seems to have an opinion on correct…
  • I just hit my protein goal and fill the rest of my calories out with any old nonsense. I also Intermitent fast for about 18 hours a day. It's far from optimal but seems to work. :)
  • Confidently walk in like you own the place. Fake it til you make it!
  • How big is your lawn? I'll work out the calories for you. ;)
  • Oh yes, the "Special cabinet", or the "secret cupboard" in my house. There will be carnage when I find out where it is.
  • I like cute, pretty intelligent girls. I'm thinking Wynona Ryder off the top of my head but without the penchant for stealing. I would obviously make sure I kept my wallet safe. On the Flip side I do like a massive rack on a lady. I'm very versatile with my tastes like that. :)
  • Well done mate on the initial weight loss, and you can definitely tell that you are slowly gaining muscle and size. I don't think that you are a hard gainer at all. Just keep eating 3000 cals, the workout routine looks good and try to slowly bulk eating clean foods 85% of the time and treats to help you hit your…
  • Hopefully part of the journey into fitness/nutrition/education etc involves strengthening the mind too so that these days become few and far between. It's human nature to sometimes feel like this, but a healthy, strong mind and body will crush negative thoughts.
  • Just to add, some people will tell you that you "must eat breakfast" or "you should eat six small meals a day" or "don't eat carbs after 6pm" etc. But I think most of this has been widely disproven and it comes down to personal choice and what suits your lifestyle. What really matters are the overall numbers for the day,…
  • I've pretty much always done Intermittent Fasting (even before it was considered a diet aid etc). I just never really enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch and liked to eat a lot of food in the evening with my family etc. If I eat in the day I tend to get sluggish and sleepy and strangely have far more energy if I don't eat…
  • I don't have any trouble getting the right amount of sleep I need but I do have something known as "lucid dreams" every night which can be exhausting lol. I've heard that some people strive to reach this state to make sleeping more interesting but I would rather just be completely unconscious for seven hours and wake up…
  • Congratulations. Great job and keep up the good work.
  • Well balanced and moderation? These crazy ideas will never catch on. :)
  • OP you might have to purchase the cat litter afterwards though because it's been down your pants. Do you own a cat? :)
  • Hanging knee raises are great for the core. I do these at the end of a workout with about 3 sets of weighted incline sit ups. I can only manage about 20 reps per set and my core is burning. A great diet is good for revealing abs too. :)
  • Top banter lads. I'm off to the copa cobanter with Bantonio Banteras and Banthony Hopkins for a can of Banta etc. :D

  • Well done on the weight loss mate. I have days like these when I'm not motivated and don't really see or remember the point. It helps to just try and sit and remind yourself why you do it. Today I went to the gym and it was empty and cold and pouring with rain outside. I sat on the Bench press for about ten minutes before…
