It's just the beta-alanine and niacin in them - it gives me a flush and makes my neck/face itchy. But, it still does its job! Haha.

1. do a workout first thing that day 2. eat turkey/potatoes/cranberry sauce/ham until I want to vomit it's probably not the best option, but it sure does make me happy on all fronts.

I take BCAAs because they're literally just amino acids. They're good for muscle growth and post-workout muscle recovery. Other than that, I do a protein shake afterward. I used to do preworkout (C4/Noxplode), but it makes me too itchy.

I'm frou-frou and into paleo things and lactose-intolerant, so BulkSupplement's Egg White Protein is amazing to me because it's literally just that: egg white protein. No flavor, no nothing. I mix it into everything. (I get it off of Amazon. Also, it's Whole30, if anyone's into that.) A flavored alternative is Vega. All of…

This. I know it works. It worked before. I JUST WON'T DO IT >;[

I'd like to point out here that a lot of people start taking prenatals in conjunction with going on/off or switching birth controls. It's almost definitely the switch in birth controls status affecting the weight gain or loss.

It usually takes me about two weeks to get back into the calorie deficit.

I did the first time I lost weight. I lost 21 pounds in about six months. I always had a cheat Friday night and Saturday with my boyfriend where we just ate straight garbage: pizza, Mountain Dew, fruit Gushers, chips. It sort of made me want to hurl. By Sunday I was so ready to eat clean again. I do the same thing now, but…

Me too! I have an octopus taking up about 1/2 of my upper back/shoulder. Also, mine is "I learned a long time ago that a person can stand just about anything for 10 seconds, then you just start on a new 10 seconds. All you’ve got to do is take it 10 seconds at a time." - The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (in regard to exercise)
-
I lost 21 pounds, then I joined the military. Ate lots in basic training, gained about 19 back, lost 5 after that and maintained that for a while, then got to Alaska and gained 20 ;D
-
Definitely. I have a military desk job that puts us on odd shifts (Panamas right now) and I currently work 12-hour nights. I can't really get up and go anywhere.
-
I'm in! I'm totally going to start from my beginning of October weight, though ;) 7 Oct weigh-in: 155.9 Today (24 Oct): 150.6
-
This. Also, mine goes in my bra if not, but I'm gonna guess that doesn't help you.
-
To be done with my military commitment so I can work on getting into medical school. :[

I started off at a 13-14 minute mile when I was training for basic training. Now I run a between a 7 and 9, depending on how far I'm going! It's absolutely a great place to start! You can shave a tiny bit off each time, and I'm talking, like, four or five seconds. It adds up.

QFT. "Toned" = being able to see your muscles. Either you need to lose fat to see those muscles, or you need to make your muscles bigger. Ya can't really tone a muscle. It is toned. +1 Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. +1 Insanity - it's much more intense, but I sweat SO MUCH and became so strong in just two-three weeks of…

5' 5.75" (but don't tell the military, they think I'm 5' 6".) CW 150, US size 8. The first time I lost weight, my UGW was 132 and I got down to 131 (about a large US size 4), but I had very little muscle because I hadn't worked out much except for cardio. I am SUPER pear-shaped, so when I got down that low, my top started…

After basic training, it was hard to slow down eating. I got used to consuming about 900 calories in about six minutes. Mindful eating is a cool concept, Google it!
-
Yes! I agree. Above I was 132, but I had little muscle. Now, I'm more muscular, so I don't think I would feel comfortable at that low a weight.
-
I never ran a mile in my life until I was 21, and now I can run 7+ without stopping, and I'm pretty fast! I'm 100% going to echo Couch to 5K, plus Nike+ or some other running app, and small goals (run for 1 minute this time, 1:15 next time, 1:30...)
-
It's up to you, and how you feel on your frame. I'm 5' 6" and this is me at about 132. I thought it was a little thin, I like being around 140.
-
No. ;) If the beginning of the year is the push someone needs to get into the gym... props to them. Who am I to tear anybody down for trying?
-
I did it, but I wasn't a huge fan of the way my goal weight body turned out.
-
The elliptical definitely counts as steps for me. I tracked it once.
-
I have mine set to sedentary and I still use negative adjustments. They still negatively adjust if I spend most of the day on the couch, and rightly so, haha.
-
I don't really like fast food anymore except Carl's Jr., but when I do get fast food, I don't get the meal (just the sandwich or whatever) and I get a water. It's really not usually that awful for you at all.
-
On dat post-work sand tee flow? Haha. Me too.
-
I lie to myself. I tell myself that at a certain lamp post or part of a song or step number I can stop running, and then I keep dragging it out for my entire run. Or I'll say "sing all the way through Yankee Doodle, count to ten, then you can stop running." And then... I don't.
-
Barely scrapin' 5' 6''! SW: 164.5 CW: 152.8 GW: 138 I'm super pear-shaped, so any lower than ~130 and the top of me starts to get freaky thin.

Is he asking you to? No. Are you doing it because you think he'll love you more? No. Are you doing it for his approval? No. Are you doing it because you want to look good around him? You do you, boo boo.
