Add me to the pound a week club. I started in January with an 80-pound loss goal, which would put me June '18. I'd rather lose slowly with a change in eating habits that'll stick with me for life than lose it quickly by dieating, reach goal early, stop the diet and gain it all back.

Not me. Don't buy Nabisco since the Illinois plants were closed and the jobs went to Mexico. And, I don't dare have them in the house. I do have a boxful of Girl Scout Thin Mints (some even from last year!!!), I'll have the proverbial serving of four (160 calories) instead.

Forgoing potato chips AND the brownie at a work luncheon. Stuck with a healthy 1/2 turkey/swiss sandwich with sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and just a tiny bit of mayo (and a side salad).

Oh, what a wonder problem to have. If I had an extra 1300 calories, I'd have a jucy lucy and fries.

Can you find a different doctor? These mixed messages can't be good for you, and they don't give her much credibility.

I'm a "chick from 56," turning 61 in January. I started (or, I should say re-started MFP on January 3 with a goal to lose 80 pounds in 80 weeks. As of last Friday, I've lost 13 pounds, averaging 1.4 a week. January was a big loss month (as the first few weeks are typically huge water weight losses), so I look forward to a…

Our local restaurant serves a Caesar salad with blackened catfish instead of chicken (I'm sure it would be pretty easy to make at home). Their salad comes with an 8-oz. steak, I bring half of it home for another meal.

Keeping busy helps. Work on the books, do household chores, meal plan, shop, and prepare for the next week, or go out and do something fun. I find that I forget to eat on the weekends, and I end up with a calorie shortage come the end of the day.

Wow, you are a great inspiration! My "aha" moment wasn't health...for some reason, despite my excess weight, my numbers are still within normal ranges (other than the blood pressure battle which has become less of an issue since I quit smoking). What prompted me back to MFP was my closet and dresser full of clothes that I…

That's what I do! My recipes generally serve four. I have one serving for dinner, my son has two servings, and the fourth is next day's lunch.
